Disappointed
This was my first time to see Dr Gago for evaluation of cataracts. First, the technicians that did the visual exam appeared incompetent with the instruments used. At one point there was confusion about the process of taking images. Second, lack of patient awareness during evaluation. Third, Dr Gago appeared rushed and impatient to address questions. I will not be back.

Rude
I have been seeing Dr. Gago for 4 years. I have wet macular degeneration and glaucoma. He has always seemed uninterested in my eye problems, but today he was extremely rude. One year ago he told me to come back in one year. I see my retina specialist every 6 weeks. He kept demanding to know what brought me in today. He said that it wasn't necessary. Every time he asked I told him that he said that I was to come back in a year. That wasn't good enough. I'm a retired RN and there is no reason to treat patients this way. I won't be back.

Horrible, he implanted the wrong lenses, I can’t see well I see doble an he didn’t listen, 4 monta after the surgery I had a lot of floaters but he had told me I probably will have more floaters, so I didn’t think about it because he had said so, but Is one of the signs of retina detachment and I lost my eye.

He was dismissive of my concerns. I stated I wasn’t doing well and he ignored me for several minutes. Then he left and sent another clinician in to tend to me.

I had cataract surgery with Dr. Gago at age 61. Both eyes. My vision was not good, I needed glasses for reading and distance. But my distance vision, even with a new glasses prescription, was blurry. After surgery my vision is unbelievably good. I am overjoyed. I still need glasses for reading. But from about 5 feet out to infinity it is stunning how well I can see. Colors are brighter. Whites are whiter. At a vision test for my job I tested at 20/10 without glasses. I feel like Superman!

Unbelievably slow and late getting patients in. Been there three times and for the last time. Wait is a least an hour. Doctor Gago not in office until an hour after appointment time. While waiting other patients chatting about their experiences all being the same time after time. Awful experience. No respect for patient or staff's time.
