Part of the Advanced Internal Medicine Care. Dr. Luis Garcia Rivera messed up prescriptions prescribing 10 days worth of insulin as a 30 day supply, leaving me without insulin for 20 days. Another prescription for seizure medications had a problem with not being available from pharmacies, and ignoring calls from the pharmacy, myself and from the insurance company the doctor's office answer was pretty much "not our problem". If you value your health don't go here.

I waited 2 hours past my appointment time in the waiting room and another 45 minutes in the exam room before the Dr came in. He brushed off my questions and blamed my problems on being 'out of shape' but ordered more tests on top of the $2k worth I'd had with a previous Dr. He spent maybe 10 minutes with me. When leaving I found out he only works "a few days a month" and when he does he double books patients so that's why he was 'running late'. Needless to say I won't be going back.

Dr. Garcia was very professional but caring during my first visit with him this week. He was very thorough and took the time to go over and explain my lab results line by line. He actually sat down, indicating to me that he wasn't in a hurry like many other doc's who are always on the go. I appreciated him sending me for a few more tests to rule out any medical complications. I have already recommended him to a friend.
