Dr. Luis Mejia, MD

Dr. Mejia took the time to explain everything to us and was super caring when we went to our procedure with my husband and me at the Millenia Center, it was an enjoyable and smooth experience.

My experience with Dr. Mejia and his medical assistant was horrible. The nurses are great. He has no respect for his patients. My appointment was at the beginning of 2024. When I made my appointment I had communicated that I wanted me to go directly to him. To my surprise they put me with their assistant, when I asked for it to be with Mejia he got upset and began to show frustration and anger. The visit was for second opinion and the man, in an unpleasant tone and raising his voice, said that he did not give second opinions. He is always spoken to in a calm and respectful tone. But the more aggressive he behaved and raised his voice the more. He was recommended to me as a good doctor. In reality, the man disrespects his patients and his ego, arrogance does not allow him to be a good doctor. I don't recommend it.

My experience with Dr. Mejia was excellent, the attention of the nurses were very friendly, all from the beginning to the end, a lot of attention.

Dr Mejia did my EGD and colonoscopy and I had a great experience with him. He made sure to explain everything that was going to happen and followed up well afterward. I’ve since had a telehealth follow up with a nurse practitioner in the group and she was wonderful as well. I wish I remembered her name.

He listens well.. my health is much better due to his perseverance. And knowledge.

My experience with the doctor is terrible, the attitude is not that of a health professional, after a few minutes in the virtual consultation he refused to attend me, claiming that I was a patient he did not want to attend to, because according to him he did not pay to waste time with someone who did not do what he will advise you as a doctor.

The worst kind of place you can imagine. They are trying their best to avoid personal contact and they are scheduling "teledoc / telehealth / telehell" appointments only. But... here is the problem: THEY DON'T CALL YOU BACK! You wait for the "appointment" and no one calls you. The manager for this place does not return your call, there is no supervisor, the nurse won't respond. My "TeleHell" was not even scheduled with a (real) doctor: it was an assistant (janitor?) who was going to call me, and no call was received. I lost three weeks waiting for this appointment and... NO CALL RECEIVED! This place is a nightmare. They should pay the patient the "missed appointment" fee because they are just plain incompetent to handle the appointments they schedule. If you miss your appointment, you will be charged for it. But when they schedule, you wait and no one calls... They won't pay you for your lost time!

I was looking for a doctor for a Colonoscopy the guy answering the phones is rude, I mean rude. After 3 mins of bad aptitud I hanged off. The doctor have good reviews but the person on the phone is not helping.

Unfortunately I made an appointment for my husband almost two months ago to a virtual check but he did not receive any call from the doctor office and he drove to the Clinic almost 40 minutes and someone told him that he did not have any appointment at that time 7:20 even though when he received the appointment confirmation by text message!! So disappointed how the staff play with the time of the people!!

Dr Mejia is one of the best specialists I ever met. Very curtious, informable and knowledgeable in his field and explains in details of my diagnosis. He has been my specialist close to 5 years.

Dr Mejia is an amazing doctor, very compassionate, knowledgeable, takes time to explain in detail, great service, great practice!!

I was seen quick. Minimal wait time. Doctor was thorough and very informative.

When he is present, he is a pretty decent doctor. However, I have had procedures and office visits rescheduled more times than I have actually seen him because he constantly has "family emergencies" or my favorite excuse which is why I have found a new doctor, "the hospital cannot accommodate your procedure on that day". Well the hospital could and I found out when they called to do my pre-registration. Guess the good doctor decided to take yet another day off and blamed my delay on the hosp.

Dr. Mejia it's very rude I don't like hi. I went with my mom and he literally told me to shut up my mom has a condition that she tends to forget and I was saying things for her and he snapped don't like him at all

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Mejia. He has the best bedside manner, and he is so willing to explain things and answer every question. I highly recommend him.

TO WHOON IT MAY CONCERN DR. Mejia is an excellent doctor, however his personnel in Curry Ford, I truly believe, that unfortunately they do not act as they care for the people. For example, today I had an appointment set for 11:am, I check in at 10:35am. And I was very concerned, because I had another appointment at 12:45am. I spoke 3 times with the lady which was doing a multiple jobs. I told her, That I was in there for more than an hour, and she called another lady, who told me to wait more.
