Dr. Luis Vascello, MD

I have spent 4 months trying to get an appointment with Dr Vascello and followed everything he wanted me to do including seeing a psychiatrist and get MRI’s. I spent money upfront to see this man and at the end he decided he can’t help me with no explanation or even meeting me in person. How does this arrogant doctor get to decide whether he will see me without even meeting me first. I need to be reimbursed my $300 I spent up front just to have him decide he can’t help me. No explanation from him. Nor a call from his office.

After his initial evaluation, he scheduled my procedure for the next day. I had excellent pain relief that lasted for months before I needed a repeat injection.

Dr Vascello is one of the 5 star Drs. They are great people in office and where Raymond has injections can’t say enough good about Dr Vascello explains everything to his patients some may not like the results he has to tell them but he’s great Dr.

Will never see this doctor or his assistant. Won't listen to your concerns . Amy his assistant is arrogant and flat out lied to cover her but will never send anyone to him. Or return to them.

I would never use this Dr, for anything. The most arrogant man I ever met. My experience was several years ago when he put a pain pump in for me. I almost died from that. they found, at Cleveland Clinic, that the morphine was poisoning me little by little. The pump he put in already had a recall on it and he put it in anyway. His last remarks to me was that my problem was not the pump and not the morphine. When my husband asked him what it was then, he answered he didn't know. I would never use or recommend this Dr. to anyone.

This is the only doctor I have ever actively suggested people avoid. Dealing with Chronic pain, his name has come up in other offices, and I've been told that they've heard horror stories from other patients as well. Without going into so much detail, the injection he was supposed to administer was done in the wrong area. Had a puncture mark, bruise, bloody bandage, and an ice pack on the spot to prove it. When I asked how they got to where it needed to be from so far down during the follow up visit, he blew up, yelling at me. Called me a liar, said my picture of the bruised puncture mark with the tape line from the bandage still around it was a pimple. Showed me some x ray of a skull that didn't really look like any other x-rays of my arrow-straight cervical spine as "proof" and then abruptly left the room never to return. He was arrogant, condescending, rude, did not listen, and suggested that to heal the stretched/torn ligaments in my neck, I simply needed to lose 30 lbs.

Dr. Vascello has treated me for a back injury for over 5 years. I cannot say enough good things about his professionalism, compassion and wonderful bedside mannerisms. I just love him and he has give me back my quality of life.

Excellent physician. He has the best bedside manner. His ability to diagnose and implement treatments is superb. He always provides a detailed explanation of why some factors affected my pain. He helped me quit smoking. He was instrumental in helping me with my weight loss, my diabetes and exercising again. He always empowers me to make the best decisions in my care. I trust him 100%.

Dr. Vascello is one of the best pain management specialist. The one I saw before was no good!! He knows what he doing I would recommend him to anyone. The first time I saw him he made a plan for me.

Stay away! If you are elderly and in pain I would recommend not going to this guy!

My had a bad time with this guy the injections he did hurt very bad as he kept hitting wrong places as I had a spinal injury and spinal fusion before. He was very very rude during before after the procedure. I never went back after two bad visits. I understand discomfort with these procedures but this was crazy. It all felt rushed and like he was trying to get as many people In and out of the hamster wheel. I never went back again.

I like Dr. Vascello. He has done two epidural steriod injecdtions with good pain relief. The first one lasted about 6 months and the second one lasted only about 2 weeks. So now, he is going to do the spinal cord stimulator trial for me. My only complaint is that when you call his office for anything (appt. etc) no one ever answers the phone. I leave meassages and no one ever calls back. I dont know if he is aware of this problem, but at my next appt. he will know. All in all,very pleased

the most compassionate & knowledgeable doctor

I was in writhing pain and had two prior cervical operations on my neck. He iced me down and gave me injections, plus his cayenne pepper special concoction. After several treatments of NO (ZERO) relief, he suggested seeing a psychiatrist. Nice. Instead, I saw my neurosurgeon who said I needed immediate surgery. I have NOT had any pain in the last ten years. For me he was rude, arrogant, and made an incorrect diagnosis. No, I would not recommend him to family, friends... or even strangers.

I was referred by another doctor. Vascello and his nurse were very Arrogant and Rude. Incorrect diagnosis. Had to go to a new doctor to get my issue corrected.

Excellent doctor but unconventional. Very dedicated to his patients.

Outstanding physician in all aspects! I have always been impressed with his excellent bedside manner, his attention to detail, his ability to listen and guide me by explaining in simple terms what we need to do to fix my pain, his holistic approach, and so many more positive attributes. I have recommended Dr Vascello to friends, co-workers and family members that might be in need of a pain management doctor. A true gentleman and superb physician!

Dr. Vascello was diligent in delving into my problem. I was most favorably impressed by Dr. Vascello's pre-appointment diagnostic testing and then his caring manner and thoroughness.

He may be a good doctor but time management is awfull. Had 11:00 appt and didn't see him until 3:20! Been sitting over 4 hrs with no pain medicine.

Dr. Vascello is one of the most caring and considerate physicians I have ever known. He takes the time to listen and to share thoughts and treatment plan with the patient. His bedside manner is wonderful. He is extremely talented and his treatment plans are conservative and effective. He has a wonderful staff as well.
