Dr. Watkins is honest and upfront which I really appreciate, leaves no room for guessing or leaving you anxious. He is very humble compared to many doctors I’ve seen and worked with. He calls his patient the evening following surgery to check in. Great bedside manner. He performed a parathyroidectomy on me and I would 1000% recommend him to anyone!

Dr Watkins is attentive, he took his time to explain everything before he operated on me. After the operation he took time again. There is never any impatience on his part when answering my lengthly questions. His history at Yale is reflected in the results of his surgery. He's also a very nice guy. I am glad I picked this man. Dr. Watkins is amazing
Dr. Watkins removed a tumor from parathyroid gland at the Norman parathyroid Center, in Tampa Florida. Dr walked in was extremely professional and explain the procedure in terms that I could understand. I cannot say enough kind words about this doctor. He was at the surgery center when I arrived at 6 AM. He came to visit me after the procedure. He then spoke to me before I left the facility and he called me late around that evening, I have never received such kind and professional care from any surgeon. He’s the best!

Dr. Lucas Watkins is the best! – Mar 08, 2023

My experience with hyperparathyroidism surgery.
Yesterday noon, at Tampa’s Endocrinology Center, Dr. Lucas Watkins headed the two-surgeon and other members who operated on me to remove one of my parathyroid glands that was hyperactive and causing me all sorts of muscular and bone pains for the last year. I cannot speak highly enough about the attention and care I received from the Norman Parathyroid Center, by Dr. Watkins, and the amazing team of nurses, technicians, and the many personnel at the hospital whom I compared to “A beehive of extraordinary professionalism”. All of my prayers have been answered thanks to my decision to come to Tampa for my surgery and I will never forget those who attended to me yesterday and who have healed me from the condition I suffered. Dr. Watkins is a most interesting individual who is completely devoted to his surgery practice in endocrinology. I enjoyed my conversations with him, his earnest search for my questions and his capacity to answer them. He earned my most sincere respect.

Dr Watkins is terrific. He spent more time with my and my wife than was ever expected and answered so many questions that we had written on our notebook pad. He didn't seem bothered at all that we took more than our allotted time and then did the same after the operation was completed. Most doctors will look at their watch or stand up ready to leave, but not him--he stayed as long as we needed him, even coming back later to see if we had any more questions.
