Has to be right
I was on medication for high blood sugar that really worked for me and she disagreed with it. She wanted to prove my other doctor wrong and wrote up a bunch of blood tests to prove her point. She started quizzing me on my numbers which I, honestly, don't know off hand. Of course, I don't have high blood sugar anymore because I am taking the drug so there really isn't a point to take her blood test. I walked out of there and paid out of pocket to go see another doctor. She is more interested in being right than her patients health.

stereotypic diagnosis to get rid of you quickly
She orders you to take measures that have nothing to do with your ailment - which she makes sound trivial. I really go to doctor - only when in serious pain. Waiting for months for the CORECT diagnosis (stubbornly delayed) aggravated my condition. In exchange medication for mild health irregularities are quickly offered.

After waiting for over 30 minutes to see Dr. Del Portillo she walked in with an angry attitude like I was a waste of her time. She has THE WORST bedside manner! She was abrupt, mean, and impatient with me. When I told her what was ailing me, she flat out told me that the problem I was having was my own fault. I was shocked at this comment. Needless to say, my appointment with her was traumatic. Nothing was resolved, and I ended up making another appointment to see a different doctor. All of the other doctors at UCLA health are fantastic. But, Dr. del Portillo really seems to hate her job. Save your time and money and find a different doctor.

Dr Del Portillo has to be thee most unhappy doctor I have ever visited. When asked what i was there to see her for I began to explain and she then said These are a lot of issues for a 15-minute appointment.... I didn't realize there was a time limit on my health. During my past visits she has always been grouchy but this time was so unpleasant, I will NEVER see her again and have asked my health institution to assign a new primary care physician.
