Terrible woman.
She walked into the room, didn't even introduce herself, told me my prolactin levels were high because I'm overweight, proceeds to tell me to move forward with weight loss surgery because I'm 'too pretty to be fat' (her words) when I told her I wanted to lose weight naturally she gave me a month to lose THIRTY POUNDS. Walked me to schedule my next appointment in a month then after scheduling that told me I needed to get blood work done a week before my next appointment. So when you consider that I had three weeks to lose THIRTY pounds. I never went back and have regreted never leaving a review to warn others.

Super doc
Have been to many docs since I have heart issues and diabetes and Dr Prieto is among the best. My blood sugar is normal and stable. My heart issues have also stabilized. Can't thank her enough for how much she helped me. She has always been very easy to talk to and correct in her opinions. Everything a doctor should be, she has. Met quite a few who weren't but Dr Prieto is not one of them. Can't thank her enough for all she has done for me.

Dr. P is the best!! I have seen her for the last 5-ish year's. She helped me get my Type 1 Diabetes back on track after a really unhealthy spell. I owe it all to her. She is very knowledgable and very kind.

Ignorance at its best – Jan 13, 2021
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Prieto-Sanchez?
Dr. Prieto-Sanchez came off as condescending and racist. At first I thought it was just me. But after reading these reviews I see that I may have been right. She listened to absolutely nothing I said. Talked at me instead of with me about my issues. She seemed to have not read one thing in my chart. The things she was bringing up had nothing to do with what I was there for. I asked her how she felt about a certain treatment being that someone else I knew was being treated by her had the same symptoms and was actually related to me. She became irate and told me I could go somewhere else if i didn't want to listen to her.

I came to her because of a possible hormone-producing pituitary tumor. She completely dismissed that and in turn started diagnosing me with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome because I gained weight during the pandemic. Before this year, I have always been in the normal BMI range and have no other symptoms associated with PCOS. I was truly baffled by her flippant approach to very serious health concerns. Reading the other reviews, it seems like she has a prejudice against people who are overweight. I went to another endocrinologist because I want someone who is serious and will actually do the leg work to rule out any issues instead of dismissing the matter. It's a shame there are so few in Tallahassee to chose from. I have a friend who had a similar issue with this practice and she ended up going to Shands to get proper treatment and she finally has her thyroid issues sorted out, after a year of incompetence from this practice. If your insurance covers it, go out of city if you have to.

Dr. Prieto-Sanchez is one of the most ignorant and unprofessional health care providers I've ever dealt with. She was all over the place from the moment she started talking. It was as if she hadn't read my information carefully before the appointment and was constantly changing her mind as she read more information in my file. She completely dismissed the reason I had been referred to her and started diagnosing me for an unrelated issue altogether. It was really manic. Beyond that, I think the most troubling thing about my encounter with her was the way she changed the way she spoke to me as soon as she found out my ethnicity. It's one thing to say people of your ethnicity may be genetically predisposed for certain ailments, it's an entirely different thing to make disparaging comments about an ethnic group based on your own perception of them and how they live. I was referred to another endocrinologist as I did not feel she would provide me competent health care void of personal bias.

She was absolutely horrible! No regards for patient's feelings. Both my grown daughter and I left the office in tears. We immediately found another doctor. I would never recommend her to anyone! If I could, I'd give zero stars.

If you want something sugar coated and are scared of hearing the truth then this is not the doctor for you. She truly opened my eyes to see what was right in front of me. She praises you when you do the right things and is honest when you don't. I am truly glad I have her as my doctor.

She said I may have Turner's without ruling out any other thyroid problems because i am overweight and she thought my neck was thick. I am a beautiful overweight WOMAN who looks nothing like someone with Turner's. This doctor is Horrible. DO NOT GO if you are not a stick.
