When it comes to your eyes . . .
. . . you want the best doctor on the job. Dr. Matkovich is an extremely experienced and caring. The tests and instructions you follow will ensure the best readings of your eyes for the Doctor to treat your condition. My eyes are so much better now that I am Dr. Matkovich's patient. She's the smartest doctor I've ever visited. I would not trust any other doctor with my eyes. She's the best.

Late. Rude and condescending.
Why is she in this profession? Her bedside manner is awful.

She is the best
Dr. Matkovich cares about her patients. She goes above and beyond to ensure you get the best results from her care. She often gives you instructions or homework on what to do to improve your circumstances which I truly appreciate. She saved my eyesight. Those who complain are the ones who do not listen to her and follow her instructions.

Excellent Doctor
Dr. Matkovich performed strabismus surgery on my eye, which was needed to correct my double vision. She was outstanding! The thought of my eye having surgery was a scary idea, but Dr. Matkovich presented herself confidently and professionally at all times. She was always prompt in her responses to me and her surgery was a 100% immediate success. I'm not understanding these low reviews she has received, but if you are looking for a skilled eye surgeon and an experienced knowledgeable professional, Dr. Matkovich is exactly what you need. I would absolutely recommend her!

This doctor has been very rude and unprofessional toward my mother, who has been her patient for the past few years. The last straw was when she yelled at my elderly mother for asking if she could have her surgery in June. My mother has heard her yelling at other patients from the waiting room as well. She needs to take an anger management course! I am disgusted by the way she treated my mom.

We saw Dr. Matkovich after a very suspicious eye exam with another MD (e.g., MD dilated our eyes and THEN did the vision test) and she saved my vision. Turns out I had narrow angle glaucoma and could have gone blind because the original opthalmologist was too lazy to perform a simple procedure that would have revealed this condition. She saw my husband had two hemorrhages and sent him to a specialist just to be on the safe side. She is forthright, honest and cares deeply about her patients!

She is very RUDE and unprofessional. Can't believe she is listed as Pediatric Ophthalmologist. She doesn't know how to talk to kids. She has been criticizing me for explaining things to my daughter calling it West LA parenting. Would never go back to her.

Do not ever go to her. She was rude, yelled at me for asking questions and made by daughter cry. She's very unprofessional and I hope she gets reprimanded by the board! If I can give her no stars, I will!
