Dr. Mabel Bow Gong, MD

I saw the other reviews here and should’ve trusted it. She should not be a doctor. I was in a rush for an appt so ended up seeing her and she’s truly horrible. I had some concerns I wanted to discuss and stated so when booking the appt along with the annual. She didn’t even give me a chance before walking out so I stopped her and stated I had questions. For the next few minutes she had the door wide open and was literally halfway out the door responding impatiently. I finally asked her if she needed to get going bc I have few more questions and she reluctantly stayed. Every interaction was so curt and condescending. The Pap smear was painful and showed frustration when I expressed pain. She also complained about how spoiled her daughters were during the procedure.

This doctor has nothing but a very rude attitude and extremely impatient manners when answering questions. And she is not actually answering the questions properly. She just want to end the visit and cuts you off abruptly. Not what one needs in a vulnerable situation while dealing with a health issue. I do not trust this doctor's abilities to inform patients and perform procedures at all and I am hoping to save some people some trouble by helping them avoid her in the first place.

If you are a survivor of sexual abuse, DO NOT GO HERE! This is a factory, they have no bedside manner or personal care. The facility is like an animal farm and push you through to bill as many insurance companies as possible with no care for you as a woman or as a person. I cried throughout my entire exam and nobody asked why. I was left on the table covered in lubricant, nobody offered a tissue or anything to clean up, and nobody inquired as to why I was crying during the exam. This is the worst experience with a gynecologist I have ever had. I chose female doctors so I will feel safe, and instead I felt abused.

Been a patient of Dr Gong for the past 6 years, she is very friendly and thorough. She will sit down and go over all of my lab reports with me and take time to explain and answer my questions, even though I can tell she has a very full schedule. I never feel rushed with her and she is very accommodating. I highly recommend her for OBGYN and wish she was also my PCP!
