I called Dr. Bowman's office after a scary episode of SVT. I had recently been diagnosed with it and was in the hospital for my 4th episode within 2 months, and no longer wanted to see the doctor who had put me there. I reached out to Dr. Bowman's office at the recommendation of a family member, FROM the hospital, FOR said heart issue and was told by his staff that I would not be seen without a referral.I have a PPO and do not need referrals for my healthcare and of several specialists I have made appointments with at Piedmont, this is the 2nd out of 5 to require a referral.I clearly have a diagnosis and it has been explained to me that the referral is just 'proof' that their office needs that I have a diagnosis and need to be seen. Not a referral because my insurance requires it - because they don't. The office staff continue to gatekeep who they see and turn away people who clearly need help of a physician.

His genuine concern, knowledge, and compassion is very apparent. He is humble and thorough in his explanation. I am confident in his expertise. So blessed to have him as my doctor.

I have known Dr Bowman since he was in high school and I have been a patient of his too. Dr Bowman is one of the most professional, knowledgeable person I have ever known in the medical field. His bedside mannerism is of the highest degree, unequivocally he is an amazing person as well. He is a 5 Star Doctor!!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Bowman's for over 20 years. I have never experienced anything negative from he or his staff. Quite the contrary, he has been extremely thorough and personable and enjoy the visits even though I hate the reasons I need to be seeing him. My guess for any of these bad reviews are that some folks just think they are "special".

Dr Bowman actually listens and takes the time to negate unnecessary concerns. I've always feel I'm in capable hands when I trust him with my health care.

My Father, James Jenkins called the office on Friday at 9am. The office didn't get back to Sheila Jenkins until 4:30PM. The staff member was rude and hung up on her telling her she was hysterical. When Mrs. Jenkins called back the office is closed.. I want someone to get in contact with me, to explain these actions. Since Dr. Bowman haven't contacted Mrs. Jenkins, he condoned his staff unprofessional behavior. I need Dr. Bowman, not one of his staff members to call me at 7063991866 ASAP.

Best doctor in Augusta! He is kind, caring, considerate and God fearing. He cares about his patients and doing what’s right for each individual he treats. Wish more doctors were like him!

Dr. Bowman is the very best in the nation, kind, caring, knowledgeable, and goes the extra mile for all of his patients. He has a wonderful manner, and I would never go to anyone else now that I have found the very best. I would drive 500 miles to see him, if need be. I have been to other cardiologists and they did not compare. I recommend him 110%!

My family has had encounters with this Dr dating back 15 years. Not questioning his expertise as a cardiologist, the isuue is with his rude, condescending manner in which he relates to patients and family members. He is very insensitive in his patients feelings and whether or not they feel comfortable with his demeanor. My worst encounter , just recently was in the fact that after waiting 2 hours PAST our SCHEDULED appt, we were told by the Dr that he was doing us a courtesy by seeing us.

May be a good doc but has horrible bedside manners and is an extremely rude, lousy person
