Essentia Virginia Clinic is lucky to have Dr Lauer - she went above and beyond to take care of me before it was too late to consider a repair to my finger

She took the time to listen and understand my concerns.

Dr. Lauer was polite, caring, and did a through examine and followed up with a treatment. All staff were wonderful, caring and professional.

She conducted her self as knowledgeable but also offered alternatives options.

Very prompt, polite, with a very light touch with the injection I needed to have on my palm for my trigger figure. Knowledgeable and offering all the necessary and relevant information for my condition.

I was referred by my original doctor to Dr. Lauer. Scheduling an appointment with her isn't always easy because she seems to have a lot of days off. Then when I do actually get to the office to see her I am always waiting for at least an hour. When she comes in the visit is rushed and she seems to have nothing to say to help me.

All staff, including DR and Tech Assistant, were very friendly and helpful. They made us feel comfortable. The wait for the treatment (cortisone shot) was a little long however.

What a great job she performed on my hand. All is back to normal use.

Dr Lauer treats you as a person. She explains everything very nicely. She always has time for her patients. She is a great surgeon. I would never go to anyone else for hand issues.

Dr. Lauer and her PA were super kind, and thorough during my appointment. They clearly explained my options and ultimately explained how my procedure were go. Both very personable.

Dr. Lauer really put my mind at ease with her thorough explanation of the procedure and what to expect post-op, etcetera.

She seemed to be in quite a hurry. She did a quick assessment of my extremity and did not offer information following that. I asked questions but honestly did not receive any thing I could take away from the assessment. An x ray was reviewed by her. Will it be reviewed by a radiologist as well? Another test was ordered. My primary could have provided the same assessment and the X-ray would have been read by a radiologist. I have no more knowledge about my problem than before I was seen by her. So, to me, it seemed like she was just an avenue to order some tests. I would have liked more information about possible causes and outcomes for my issues.
