Dr. Madhu Hooda, MD

I've been seeing Dr. Madhu Hooda for quite a while now, and I'm never dissatisfied with her service, her medical knowledge, her holistic approach to physical and mental health, and her caring, nonjudgmental attitude. Before that I was a patient of Dr. John Morrow, and I have been very happy with Hooda.

Dr Hooda is very concerned about my healt and very professional. I trust the care she advises for me.. She is also a very good person.

Had an awful experience with treatment at the facility by staff. The nurses speak for the Dr's and are not the smartest people. Very argumentative and simple things that they refuse to acknowledge or take responsibility for. The ARC chart system portal for patients is the worst. When I ask a question to my Dr., you don't get the Dr, you get a nurse's reply. I literally have to call up the head of the office to explain the low level of service, and of course she is on vacation. Then today Dr Hooda calls me up and immediately starts scolding me for the interactions siding with the nurses without even hearing what I had to say. I ended up hanging up on her and now I need to find a better Dr and practice that cares. Be careful of this please as I view it anything but professional!

5 years ago went to Dr. Hooda for a wellness check when she surprised me with a Pap smear. I had already had one done 2 years priorI expressed discomfort with a Pap smear because I have trauma regarding the related area. She then threatened she would not refill my birth control until I got a Pap smear (which I primarily used for period regulation with the added benefit of pregnancy prevention). I was in college 3.5 hours away and didn’t have time to come back so I went along with the Pap smear and cried and was tense the whole time. When I came up crying she asked why and I told her I have a history of abuse and that just made it worse. It wasn’t until I told my current doctor about my treatment and she was disgusted me it that I realized I’m allowed to report wrong doing on a doctors part. When I reported her to TMB, she simply denied everything I said and there is no further recourse. Would advise not going to Dr. Hooda for anything gynecology related.

Was looking for a new primary care physician after moring - Dr. Hooda is not going to be the one. Was incredibly unhelpful and spent maybe 2 minutes with me. Issues that my previous primary doctor was able to address I was told by Dr. Hooda would need to go to a specialist / another appointment / more money. Really worthless use of time and money on this visit.

I really like Dr. Hooda. She listens carefully and is knowledgeable. She explains her diagnosis well and takes time to answer your questions thoroughly. I find working with her office staff a pleasant experience.

Dr. Hooda has been my primary doctor for close to 10 years now. I feel that she knows me, understands me and is very supportive of my needs.

I love the fact that she listens and considers me as an individual patient. I have my daughter seeing her as well. We are picky, she is great and listens to our needs and gives personal attention.

I have found Dr. Hooda to be balanced and reasonable in her decisions. When she observes a situation, it is from a holistic or "big picture" manner that is in my mind acceptable. I appreciate that she will forward a patient to a specialist when needed and otherwise is conservative and appropriate with treatments. I found her mannerisms to be kind and respectful. She listened to me and evaluated my input while observing my clinical symptoms. Overall, I have been satisfied by her care.

Discouraged me from getting an IUD because I had not previously had a child. Instead, encouraged me to just be abstinent. I think the general knowledge in this area has moved away from this belief for a number of years now. Would not recommend for those that are looking for conversations about contraception.

I find Dr Hooda to be rude and judgemental. She never gets out of her chair to actually examine me and is dismissive of any medical complaint I have.
