Possible Femoral Nerve Neuropathy
Went to Dr. Soni to further figure out if I had Femoral Nerve Neuropathy as per EMG I recently had that was positive for it - She blew off my EMG as couldn't tolerate the test - but NEVER Ordered another one - Also asked about Special Nerve MRI - said she doesn't do them or Rush basically doesn't do them - She was more interested for me to do a Sleep Apnea Test than trying to help me figure out my issue that I had gone to her for. One of the worst doctors I've seen so far.

Dr. Soni and her team are extremely thorough and smart! She listens to her patients and explains everything she does during the examination. Besides, being a competent doctor, Dr. Soni is a wonderful human being. Being a neuroscientist I am generally curious about the procedures. In every visit, she and her fellows made every effort to answer my countless questions. I hope you do not have to see her, but if you have to, be assured that you are in extraordinary hands!

She saved my life. I hope I don’t sound evangelistic but it’s true. Three years ago I spent 11 days in Good Sam (Downers Grove IL) and was discharged with no diagnosis or plan. Diagnosis was very difficult I understand. I went to Rush University in Chicago and saw a team of doctors. A hepatologist referred me to Dr. SONI. She had a six month wait for appointments. Another doctor told her about my serious condition and she saw me the next day! I took a battery of tests and biopsies and I took a little while to diagnose. I really thought I was going to die and accepted it. That is how serious my condition was. It took around six weeks to diagnose.Doctor Soni even sent my biopsy samples to a university of Chicago pathologist to examine. She used new cutting-edge diagnostic tests to look for specific antigens. Once diagnosed I was hospitalized and given eight rounds of IV I G and that reset my immune system. Doctor Soni is my hero. I can’t say much more because words fail me. ??

She took all of by objective testing demonstrating muscle weakness, complaints of muscle weakness, double vision, and ptosis (among others) and farmed me out to physicians with specialties in area I had proven muscle weakness (GI for tongue muscle weakness and choking on my food and pulmonologist for breathing muscle weakness). She offered no suggestions for cause of muscle weakness and kept insisting that my symptoms were most likely from depression. Didn't know above symptoms are depression
