Unclear and insensitive
I had a very upsetting experience with Dr. Chatterjee at UChicago's Dearborn Station Urgent Care. When she mentioned the medications she might prescribe for the issue I came in with, I asked if they were safe in pregnancy since my husband and I are trying to conceive. Instead of providing clear answers, she made inappropriate comments about conception and shared irrelevant stories about a past patient and about herself. Then she asked if I had any children already. When I said no, she pointed at me and said 'HA HA!' in a mocking tone. I think she was attempting a 'you don’t know what you’re in for' kind of joke, but I've had experienced multiple miscarriages and found this incredibly hurtful. A doctor should know better. I left the visit early in tears and sought care elsewhere.

I left her office in tears
She was all over the place. She would ask me questions and then cut me off. She would get mad when I asked questions. I felt embarrassed. She made me feel like I was bothering her. No doctor has ever made me feel the way she did. I thought I was getting pranked! Maybe she just had a bad day. Lacked professionalism. The receptionist was so kind about the situation. That helped.

Anxiety inducing visits
Everyone's time is worth something and Dr. Mad's time is apparently priceless as it seems it's much more valuable than her patients. Here are some tips for your visit: Stay on topic, do not stray. Try to only give yes and no answers. Do not ask about anything besides what you came in for. Don't bother asking questions or bringing up any concerns as she will likely Interrupt you as she exits the room leaving you thinking what you may have done in a previous life to get a doctor like this.

I saw Dr. Madhumita Chatterjee and had a bad experience with her. She was extremely slow and unprofessional. Pushed and pressured me into having unnecessary x-rays taken. I'm sure it was to line her pockets. Not to mention, I was in the room for 3 hours in total and that is completely unacceptable!
