Poor diagnosis skills and no follow through
I saw Dr. Rizk in June 2022. He was not able to diagnose a life-threatening gastro issue. He told me to eat more of what made me sick. The remainder of the notes he wrote were copied from another provider, earlier appointment as if he were trying to show he did something. The one thing he said he would follow up on and get back to me in a week he never did (more than 8 weeks ago). No one can bat 1000 and while frustrating that he was not able to diagnose my issue and I had to wait for another provider, this review is more about the lack of honesty and follow through. I also later discovered at least some of the answers he gave me were wrong, so I question competence.

I was assigned to Dr. Rizk for an EGD several years ago. Then I went back for an office visit, and have made him my GI of choice. He's done a couple EGDs and a colonoscopy for me. He's treating me for a couple chronic conditions and I fully trust him and his clinical decisions. He's got a calm demeanor and great bedside manner that can really put you at ease, especially when you're physically uncomfortable, and if you're like me, a bit embarrassed to talk about GI issues. I would definitely send friends and family to him.

I saw Dr. Rizk for a colonoscopy, which, of course, is not a procedure I would look forward to. He and his entire staff work great together and made me feel very comfortable. They explained everything and he took the time to talk with me and see if I had any questions. Very personable. The procedure went great and now I am good for 10 years! YAY!
