KNOW IT ALL ATTITUDE, ARGUMENTATIVE
My PCP referred me to this “Pain Management” place, chose him, he was a provider in my ins network. My PCP prescribed me a minimal amount of pain meds and muscle relaxer to last the 2 week wait to see this guy. He walks in, and I could tell right away that he had a “know-it-all” attitude! I came prepared with recent copies of my cervical, thoracic, and lumbar MRI’s, a folder of all the drs and tests that I’ve been through. He didn’t even want to see it! He sat down and looked at my “DEA” score? He saw I was prescribed pain meds from Spectrum Orthopedics. Well, I broke my right foot, so of course I was on pain meds! A few months later I fell and broke my left foot in 3 places, so I was on pain meds! Then had bi-lateral Carpel Tunnel surgery, was on pain meds! Then he saw that my PCP gave me pain meds to cover me until I saw him. He told me to have my PCP provide my pain meds!? WHAT? I thought a Pain Mgmt guy would provide PAIN MGMT!! I have no quality of life! I honestly don’t get it!

Dr. Zackary at Wooster Pain and Anesthesia treats his patients with such kindness and respect. It’s not common to come across a pain management practice that is this wonderful, and I’m so grateful that I did! I truly feel that he cares, and is a doctor for the right reasons… to help people. Not only is Dr. Zackary compassionate, but also intelligent. He knows what he’s talking about, and if he doesn’t happen to know something, he doesn’t just act like he does like many doctors I’ve come across. He asks questions and writes things down. He listens. He hires nurse practitioners and other office employees that are also very kind and knowledgeable and I feel safe and cared for there. I am now able to be active in my children’s very busy lives and I owe it to this practice. I prayed for a miracle and thank God for bringing them into our lives. Kristen C.

Having read through half of the reviews, I think most of us agree that his RN is the problem with his practice. The paperwork and having to agree to many things like pill counting, drug tests, et al. Those things are necessary to keep us all above board and prevent more opiod addicts. Remember, pain med abusers make it more difficult for us who genuinely need pain relief meds.

Beware! I am 65 years old and I live in constant pain. At my original appointment I handed him the huge folder of records, MRIs, etc. that I had brought from my previous doctors and he glanced at them and shoved them back at me. I brought all my medications with me and went over them with both "Dr." Zachery and his tech. Nothing was said at the time about my pain medications. I was scheduled for a back injection with only an x-ray for him to go by, AND I was supposed to be fully sedated for it. Finally....when I called for refills, I was told rudely that I was "not a candidate" for the pain medications I have taken for years, based on the records he DID NOT LOOK AT. Then he called my new primary care physician and told HER I was "not a candidate" for my pain medications. I cancelled the x-ray and injection appointments and dropped him. I would not recommend "Dr." Zackary to anyone.

Felt like I was being tried for a crime. So many rules and so many papers to sign. If you need pain medication make sure you live a clean perfect life, they can drug test you and even count your pills. Doctors went from giving me 75 pills for a sore shoulder to giving me nothing , doesn't matter how much pain you are in. Also don't be late or they will not see you, still I was 30 minutes early waited an hour and left, double standard. If you need to use the restroom you have to ask permission. They treat you like family they say, no thanks.

Worst experience I ever had. He and his RN would get very belligerent if I ask questions a year to get any test done or to see a surgeon. Gave me medication that made me so sick I was vomiting every morning. When I told him. The response was not his problem. Tried to convince me that injections was my only option. Had several from his office did not work. The RN Lisa was so rude. Would walk out of room if I asked to many questions. Would tell me I was lying about where my pain was.

My experience with this office was very negative. They were dishonest with me about asking insurance for approval for treatment. They said they were waiting to hear from insurance company and when I called the insurance company they had no request and this was five days after visit. They're suppose to ask for referral to surgeon for me and they didn't do that either.. Very unprofessional support staff. They are not interested in being at all helpful. I would not recommend this practice

As a personable doctor, he's great. But I called on weds to get pain meds filled for Friday which would be fillable on Sunday & would be out. I was told on Friday at 4:00 he would have to see me first. First available would be the following Thursday. Which means I would be without for 5 days. When you go without that long, your body will go through withdrawls, let alone the pain in my neck & back which is going to be excruciating. This to me is very unprofessional & uncalled for.

He is down to earth, common sense doctor as well as all his medical training. I am very pleased with Dr Zackary and his staff. They have always been very kind and caring with me. I feel better with getting epidural steroid injection and taking less medication, then I did taking more medication with other doctors and their nerve blocks.....Dr Zackary and his staff is AWESOME when it comes to getting nerve blocks, the best I've ever experienced.

More concerned with red tape then patient health. Two different occasions left in pain. Workman comp lady will retaliate if argued point. Dr Zachary appears to be alright. But don't know who influenced his staff. My legs are killing me. Claim was granted quickly but the office cancelled appointment. Re scheduled later. Medicine not the problem but injections
