Mahipal Chauhdri, MD, is compassionate, empathetic, easy to talk to, and very caring. His approach made me feel comfortable, safe, heard, and his office space was welcoming.

I know you are walking in for your own benefit but his variety of life experiences made me feel truly comfortable. I made the right choice with Dr. Chaudhri. He wants to get to know you as a person and understand the true root cause of your struggle. Sure you may decide together that a medication could additionally benefit you. There are MANY medications - classes, doses, combinations. He’ll make a recommendation for the right reason. He’s not pushing medicine. He is down to earth and aware of the dramatically changing situations in our country so do not assume he is closed minded in the slightest. Plan for more than one visit because it will be worth it in the end.

I have suffered from anxiety, depression and panic attacks for a majority of my life without even knowing what was happening to me because I was always on the go. Once my life slowed down a little, I noticed my problems getting worse. I contacted Dr. Chaudhri and started seeing him on a monthly basis for a little over a year now. He has been a great help and listens to everything you are going through and shows that he really cares about his patients. I highly recommend him to anyone searching for some assistance.

After several psychiatrists refused to see me because of depression caused by huge overdoses of steroids, Dr. Chaudhri agreed to talk. Two years later we have tried many drugs but also have agreed that alternatives are some of the best answers for my recovery. He is extremely unusual in a sea of medical dysfunction which describes care in Rochester.

It took me a while to find a provider that made me feel comfortable and welcome! Mahipal Chauhdri, MD is compassionate, empathetic, easy to talk to and very caring. Hands-down the most effective and efficient doctor visits I’ve had (a patient for 8years) No matter where he goes I will follow. He gives the best advice. Mahipal Chauhdri, MD really strives to give the best care possible to each of her patients. Will definitely recommend him as your psychiatrist.

First, let me say this...if one is seeing a psychiatrist or seeking help from said individual that last thing they need is an attitude from the receptionist. I am utterly disgusted with the foreign accented receptionist. She has the personality of a wooden door and no empathy what so ever. Her main concern is whether or not someone answers their phone when she calls them, not the fact that someone is so severely depressed that they don't need her criticism. She's a thorn in that office that should be plucked from her position. When someone seeks this office it is for help, not for grief from a person like her.

I find Dr. Chauhdri knowledgeable, methodical personable and non- arrogant, a rare beast in his profession and especially in Rochester. He is not simply a drug pusher.

Dr. C is great. I would recommend him to anyone. He is attentive, knowledgeable. and cares about his patients. I especially enjoy his east meets west style of medicine. Getting the best of both worlds.

I felt no warmth or empathy in this office whatsoever. They take a very long time to approve prescriptions, so I ran out of my medication. They also would not be transparent with me about the balance I owed until I told them I needed to cut back on the frequency of follow-ups until I understood fully what my bill would be. At that, they finally told me and then pressed me for payment at that moment. I guess they knew I wouldn't be coming back.

Great Doctor. Clean office and wait time was less than 15 mins

First appointment waited ten min. No one to greet me, didn’t kno w if I had wrong day. Dr C walks by and ignores me. Eventually I asked if he was the doc and he said he was, had right day. Yes my appt was for 15 min ago but he was “busy with more important things right now. Was I in a hurry?” If that’s his attitude about my time, his commitment to an appointment to get to know me, then how will he treat any needs I have...not as important as whatever else he is doing!

I have been a patient for 11 years and after seeing many other psychiatrist I have to say Dr Chaudhri is the best. Dr C is very compassionate,intelligent and easy to talk to. I also see a pain psychologist and she has told me that she has sometimes called Dr Chaudhri with questions because “he is so knowledgeable”, that says a lot!

I have been seeing Dr.C for the past five years and he has saved my life! I have suffered from countless episodes from my chrronic depression and Dr.C was the first professional in his field to ever to examine blood work and my case history. He also provides TMS therapy witch gave me the opportunity to lower prescriptions. His east meets west approach is not a one size fits all method to treating patients! The office staff also works tirelessly to navigate insurance claims. ????????

Very good psychiatrist. Has a holistic approach based upon deep knowledge and great experience. He has been a tremendous help to my family. Strongly recommend to see him.
