Grossly unprofessional manner
Dr. Zamanian was my GP for a few years after I moved to New Mexico. He has an informal manner that borders on cavalier - he paid a medium amount of attention during my office visits, but he isn't particularly thorough or careful. At my last visit, which was for chest pain while exercising, he began by asking me how much I had in my retirement savings. What? After more questions about work - not about how I was feeling or what I was worried about - he told me to be careful if I had sex with my older clients because 'You could break their hip.' I was stunned. This wasn't getting drunk in a bar with a friend - this was in a doctor's office, for chest pain. I filed a formal complaint with Presbyterian; after 3 months, they determined that he had provided appropriate care and did nothing more. He may have thought he was being funny, but if so, it indicates a gross lack of professionalism and concern for his patients.

He listens. Asks questions for clarification if there is a possibility of miscommunication. This popped up because I called the office for prescription renewals. There was no office visit so I can't answer wait time.

This man saw my dad for over a year as his cognitive skills declined. Zamanian told him he was fat and had sleep apnea instead of ordering a basic CT to screen for causes. When I attended appointments he belittled me and implied that I was not as important to my own father as I believed. As if he is the expert on someone else's relationships. When my aunt who is a nurse finally attended an appointment a full year after the decline began we finally got him scheduled for a CT. Within 5 minutes of the scan he was admitted for a racquetball sized tumor on his right frontal lobe. It was slow growing and likely there for years if not decades. A five year old could have found it. Zamanian did not do any due diligence to investigate my dad's symptoms, instead he treated my dad with disdain for being overweight. As a result, my dad could have died. Echoing a previous reviewer, if I could rate him a zero I would.

He did not listen to me or answers my questions. He acted as if I were a nuisance in asking questions. He blamed me for a medical condition that was caused by a medication prescribed by a specialist. Horrible bedside manner. I would rate him a zero if I could.

I have seen Dr. Zamanian several times. He listened attentively, answered all my questions and offered good suggestions. My wait time was under 10 minutes each time and the staff was very friendly.

If I could have rated him with zero stars I would have. He didn’t listen to me, I had to repeat myself several times during the exam. He was very patronizing to me and made light of the concerns I had about my health. I waited 6 months to get in to see him and can not believe I wasted time and money on this “doctor”. Do not waste your time, do not waste your money, do not use this guy.
