Best internist I ever had
She is the most knowledgeable, kind and thoughtful internist I have ever had. She knew exactly when to refer me to specialists, and handled everything else flawlessly. I was devastated when she stopped her practice and was promoted to work on educational and administrative pursuits with medical students and residents instead of her clinical work. I have never found anyone as good to care for me. Really miss her, but wish her the best.

Yikes!
My interaction with this individual was unpleasant. She seemed under-prepared and overconfident. She was dismissive or information that did not comport with her view.

I don't tell physicians that I am a physician for obvious reasons. I don't recommend Dr. Artandi. She lacks knowledge, proper analysis, and is uninterested in preventative medicine. She's full of assumptions and poor conclusions, full of rigidity. Medicine isn't black/white. Her decisions are based upon research only instead of looking at the whole picture. Instead, she should be in the ER or Urgent Care for urgent issues.

She recently suggested Zoledronic acid treatment for my mom in an effort to address low calcium in her hip bone but did not explained the serious side effects. My mom was only informed about the side effects AFTER treatment. Soon afterwards she had severe complications (inability to breathe) and stayed in ER for 3 nights. Despite contacting Dr. Artandi MULTIPLE times, at no point did the dr directly returned my mom's call. Instead only the nurse called back. It's totally unacceptable.
