Dr. Mallappa Neelappa, MD

I’m very disappointed with the protocol of this office. My daughter had an appointment and presented a picture of our family insurance card and was TURNED AWAY because she did not present the original copy. I even asked if I could email or fax and they said no . I have never heard of such a thing. Very disappointing.

My husband has been seen by this man for 2 years. Usually the service is acceptable and the staff friendly. The last few months the appointments have been mismanaged and the Dr. Has been late or missing appointments (like we are there and waiting for an hour and he somehow is not in the building). But the main problem has been with prescription WRITING. We have no ability to write our own prescription’s, but somehow Dr. Neelapa doesn’t know how to fill them out properly. My husband takes the prescriptions to the pharmacy and has to return to get new ones written. This last time it took 4 times and 2 weeks to get the right prescription and the DR. Informed my husband that he won’t write another one! I have no idea why he spoke to us instead of the pharmacy, but the staff is inept and the Dr. Might need to retire. I will be reporting this place to the BBB for investigation. Avoid this place at all costs.

I read through all these reviews and though I had made a mistake by scheduling my appointment here, I was ABSOLUTELY wrong the staff and dr are the BEST I was in a bad situation being a new patient went in next day breathing test next day results wow just unbelievable I cant thank them enough for helping me out so quick and I highly recommend Dr.Neelappa and his staff

The fragrance in the office from either the employees or cleaning products is too strong. You would think especially for a pulmonologist office with patients that already compromised it would be addressed. I discussed the issue with the doctor and office personnel at all 3 visits. They seem not to care. I read the doctors notes of the physical exam. In my opinion it is not factual.

Receptionists are a joke, they let patients see my personal information.

There aren't very options in a small town, Neelapa was the only route to try to diagnose what was wrong with me. Multiple visits later, x-rays & a biopsy later, I asked my primary Dr to find anyone else! Long wait times and you see a Dr who doesn't say anything, and misdiagnoses you. In this town, you're better off making a trip to Phoenix. It may save your life.

I had my appointment scheduled six months in advance. They called on a Friday before my Monday appointment to reshedule because the doctor was out of the office. When I called on the day of my appointment before going in they did not have my new appointment on the book. They said I was scheduled for my old appointment day.

Waited over an hour and ended up leaving without being seen. Every patient in the waiting room had waited over an hour also.
