Confusion at front desk
When I first met Dr. Acharya in 2018 at Texas Presbyterian Hospital in Plano, Texas he was very attentive in listening to me and looking at all of my numbers. So I continued to use him as my personal physician. Presently, his office is extremely busy and it's very difficult to get through to get an appointment. First, you have to make it through the voice mails and remote front desk support. This task is very difficult. Most of the time, when I call, I ask is this the "real" office? A patient likes to feel like, you remember them from past visits and their medical history, but no one remembers who I am. Occasionally if I'm lucky, I'll get through to a receptionist that remembers my name. Well, I made an appointment two weeks ago for a physical and trying to find a date that Dr. Acharya was available was impossible, so I opted for the Physician Assistant, which was this morning at 9:15am. I had taken off work and made arrangements and on my way to the doctor's office, I received

I was taking so many medicine for my high blood pressure, yet it was not controlled. I recently moved to the area and found this doctor from insurance. Dr Acharya is an excellent physician. He diagnosed my cause of high blood pressure to be due to obstructive sleep apnea. and started me on CPAP. He is working with me to get my weight down and i have already lost 30 lbs. I am only taking single medicine and my BP is great. The staffs were very friendly. The office wait time was minimal

Dr. Acharya is my PCP for almost a year. He is very thorough, down to earth. When I went to him in 2016 I was on 12 medications, now I only take 5 medication and feel much better. He is really good. I highly recommend him.

One of the worst experience I had with any medical related needs. I had my appointment at 10:00 AM, but I was way early there. I finished my paperwork at 9:55 AM and handed over to the rude receptionist. She told me that you should have finished your paperwork 25 minutes ahead of your appointment ( there was no communication about it or shipped the paper to me ahead of time if that was the requirement). I told that you guys never mentioned about it and I am way ahead of my scheduled 10AM appoint

Great doctor. I am a recent transplant from Arizona and I did a lot of research before choosing Dr. Acharya. He made me feel welcomed and I never felt rushed. He took the time to answer my questions plus his staff is awesome as well. I would highly recommend.
