Bad dr menon
Dr. Minnon's lack of professional bedside manners is concerning. He doesn't seem to answer questions thoroughly, and he only provides one chance to ask one only question. In his private practice, he might be more patient and willing to answer questions, but as a Henry Ford employee, he appears disinterested in patient concerns. It's frustrating that he argued instead of addressing your question. A one-star rating reflects these issues the one star is for the one only question I was allowed . While he may be experienced and skilled, empathy and compassion are essential qualities for a doctor, which seem lacking in his case.

In one week, I will be a 10-year cancer survivor after Dr. Menon, with help from his outstanding VUI team, performed my robotically-assisted prostatectomy as a high Gleason 8, 70-year old. He or his team have responded promptly to my questions before and after surgery. Based on my experience, Dr. Menon gets an A+ grade for his knowledge, skills & abilities, for sharing his KS&A, and for training others with his lessons-learned. I greatly appreciate his expertise and commitment to excellence.

My husband had robotic surgery performed by Dr. Menon without being told the risks of cancer seeding during robotic surgery. After a long, hard recovery, Dr. Menon's office didn't bother following up with him. One year later, we learned that his cancer had metastacized and a PET scan revealed that "seeding" or cancer exfoliation occurred during the robotic surgery. Now, he is stage IV with spreading cancer just one year following the surgery. Before surgery, he was stage 2. Know the risks.

I am a physician who had the unfortunate experience of trusting Dr.Mani Menon as the "The supposed best Robotic prostatectomy surgeon." His treatment of me was highly unprofessional and negligent. He was arrogant, left positive cancer margins, and never performed or even attempted to perform any post surgical followup. When he finally called me he said, "Why are you bothering me. You'll be fine." He then abandoned me. I am now dying of metastatic prostate cancer. Stay away from him! Far away!
