Rude and Insensitive
I took my wife to the ER in Lihue and after waiting for 2.5 hours was finally seen by Dr. Kwon. My wife was in absolute agony with the pain she was dealing in her ears with and Kwon told her to just be a big girl, shoved an otoscope in both of her ears making her scream then told her she did not have an infection and gave her pain medicine and rushed out. We had to demand she come back in and stop be negligent, to give us more advice on what to do as we had a flight that night and it did not seem safe for my wife to travel with the air pressure. We immediately saw an ENT back on the mainland who confirmed she had an infection like we suspected. Dr. Kwon is not worth waiting 2.5 hours to see. You are better off asking chat gpt than to go see any institution that has her as a doctor. Doctors like her are the reason America's health care has such a bad reputation. Unworthy. She should be working at McDonalds, not the ER.

Dr. Kwon was my ER doctor after a DVT and multiple PE’s. It was a pretty scary situation, but she took excellent care of me in the ER, then stopped by my ICU room the next day to check on me. I’ve dealt with many, many doctors in my life, both emergency and non, and Dr. Kwon is one of the greatest I’ve dealt with. My wife and I, both, were thoroughly impressed and so lucky to have her.

Dr. Kwon was my doctor when I ended up at the ER after a pretty nasty cat bite/attack to my hand. She was smart, attentive, super cool, funny and, according to my other doctor friends after hearing my treatment plan, very thorough. She even asked me to come back the next day so she could take a quick look at my wound progress in the hallway, rather than making me check in to the ER again. The ER is always a weird, if not scary experience and I’m grateful to Dr. Kwon for making it easier. Thanks!
