ER visit
My husband and I were at the ER yesterday and after waiting quite a few hours, very tired and frustrated, we had the pleasure of meeting Dr. De Jesus. He is warm, friendly and extremely competent. He has excellent communication skills and thoroughly explained the issues to us in a manner that we could understand. After meeting Dr. De Jesus, the hours of waiting melted away.

Dr Manuel De Jesus treated my husband in the emergency room few weeks ago, he did a great job finding out what is causing his severe pain. Gave him meds to relief his pain while referring him to a urology specialist. Thank you dr for making sure to perform the tests needed to determine the cause of his pain.

I waited for 4.5 hrs to be seen by this MD (6:19 AM-10:45). I had a clear view of this MD sitting at a computer terminal for 4 of these hrs. He never examined me, but sent me for a Spine CT which I requested and which showed 4 vertebral fractures and 1 rib fracture. He provided a back brace. I protested the brace and he said, "It will make me feel better if you take it." Note: the hospital charged $1919.75 for the brace(!) Absolutely awful care. BOTH EMC & the MD should be ashamed!

Dr. DeJesus saved my life when I went into cardiac arrest. He, along with the other fabulous emergency dept. members at Eisenhower, were so alert, prepared, and so competent that I revived under their fast treatment. That was 6 months ago, and I am grateful every single day for Dr. DeJesus’s rescue treatment. Once I was alive again, I appreciated his excellent humor and warm, exuberant delight that I was back. He was, for me, a Godsend.

After waiting 6.5 hrs in the ER waiting room, it was a delight to finally meet Dr. De Jesus. He is so caring and easy to listen to. He makes you feel as if you are the only patient he has to deal with. He addresses your concerns and does not rush you through like processing numbers. He treats you like a human being. When I had a question about the surgeon he recommended, he put my mind at ease by telling me that he trusted this doctor to do surgery on his own daughter. He is a true gem.
