Dr. Manzar Kuraishi, MD

Dr. Kuraishi seems to know a lot. He seems to be a nerd about medicine, which I obviously can't complain about. One thing to watch out for though is the wait times are very long. I believe it is due to him also working at the hopsital. He seems to love medicine.

He has been my doctor since he moved here in the early 80s. I trust him and he knows his patients as individuals. He always takes care and the proper time if I have a problem. Today was just a general physical

Like another reviewer, I wish I could fly back to L.A. to see Dr. Kuraishi! My then new husband introduced me to him. When I became sick with a chronic “mystery” disease, he diagnosed me correctly very quickly and got me to the foremost specialist ASAP. That was over 20 years ago and his first diagnosis was correct. How I wish I was still near his office or could find someone to hold a candle to him! He really cares. That’s rare. Even more rare, he stays current. Yes, his office gets busy. Of course it does, because everyone is looking for a Dr. Kuraishi!!

A very patient, bright Doctor. I've trusted him with my life more than once -- and, I'm still here! He is well trained and very savvy -- he is prompt in his response to crucial phone calls. I highly respect him in every way.

He is very personable so I was very happy at first. I will only say this, please make sure you always get copies of your lab results from not only this doctor but all doctors. I am over 55 and therefore have seen more than one doctor over the years but I have never had any doctor completely ignore abnormal lab results like he has. At first I questioned but went along with his decisions. But the results were my labs got so out of range that I am not battling with finding a cardiologist for my extremely high cholesterol and my extremely low thyroid numbers. And important for all doctors we see look them up on the California Medical Board to see their records.

I moved away from CA in 2014 and have compared all of my doctors since then to Dr. Kuraishi. I really miss him. Long wait times, yes, but he never rushed with any office visits once he got in the room. If I were rich, I'd fly to LA just to have an annual checkup so he can tell me what's what.

Exceptional. He waited for me to get a toe xray one day. I was the only patient in the office. He was unflustered and unhurried. Always a good friend.

The doctor is great. He's very knowledgeable, listens carefully and takes care of you and your questions patiently. The office staff is kind as well. The only concern I have is the wait time. Most days you wait over an hour to see the doctor.

Dr. Kuraishi has been our Family physician since taking over Dr. Baker's practice in the 1980's He is brilliant. His knowledge of all current and relevant Medical conditions, makes his ability to diagnosis and treat illness or health related episodes...miraculously. Annual physicals aside, from personal experience, he can be a lifesaver. We can't say enough good things about Dr. Kuraishi, his knowledge, his practice and his abilities.

He went out of his way to make everything good as possible for me, including working with me to plan treatments, suggesting referral MDs, and of course, being so kind. He always avoided presenting anything in a frightening way, and explained clearly what needed to be done, and why. Above all, he knew the simplest effective test and the least dangerous remedy or treatment. Only years of paying attention to possibilities and discoveries could make a doctor like him. Any wait time was worth it.
