Dismissive of Pain
I came to Dr. Dy because (female, age 29) I had had life-changing back and neck pain for over two years. Unfortunately, my X-rays and MRIs were normal. My physical therapist recommended I ask my new PCP, Dr. Dy, for a referral to rheumatology. (My old PCP had retired.)When I met Dr. Dy and described my pain, he responded that 'some people have different sensitivities to pain,' and that I 'couldn't expect to be pain-free.' He declined to send in a rheumatology referral, but offered to send me to another PT for a second opinion. He encouraged me to consider antidepressants.I switched PCPs. With the help of other medical providers, we were able to conclude that my back and neck pain were an autoimmune reaction to a medication I had been prescribed. I stopped the medication and have fully recovered.Dr. Dy was dismissive of my pain. I cannot recommend him to any patient.

Dr. Dy has been my primary care doctor for several years. He listens carefully to whatever I have to say and explains any treatments prescribed thoroughly. He never rushes me and I would recommend him and his entire office staff to anyone.

Took my mother-in-law for first-time visit with Dr. Dy. He was so patient listening to and answering all of our many questions. She & I both felt very at ease and comfortable with him. He seems to be very genuine in caring for his patients.

New insurance had to find a new primary care doctor and I must say I am AMAZED! Dr. Dy is so humble and carries a presence of care for this to be my first visit I was quiet scared switching primary care doctors but they led me to the PERFECT ONE!!!! The environment, the staff all so professional and caring. He listened to my concerns and even asked about me in general what doctor does that? you know he is a doctor that cares because he listened and that is the most vital thing a doctor can do!

Only initial visit so far, but Dr. Dy is very nice and knowledgeable. He does not assume anything, as far as I can tell. He also listens and explains things well. I am leaving one practice, and making Dr. Dy my new primary care provider. His office is not nearby, but it is worth the drive.

Absolutely terrible experience. My wait time was 3 hours the doctor treated me like I was a child and refused to listen to my inquires on other medicines. Then after being prescribed a script that was horrible for me he refused to talk to me about alternative medication. Highly recommend not using this md
