Like many others, Dr. Strickler seemed uninterested in seeing me as a patient and did not care to listen to me. No eye contact as he sat there entering information in his computer, reading the questions in a monotone. I will have to find someone else.

I was uncomfortable
I'm well into my 50's and have never been so uncomfortable at a doctor appointment. Can't exactly put my finger on it but I'll never go back. He was rude, seemed bothered by me as a patient, was dismissive when I answered his questions. He made it quite clear he didn't need me as a patient

Totally absent in every way.
Dr. Strickler had failed to review my history . I had been a patient of a now retired PMR Doctor, a partner of his in the same office. Minimal eye contact. He failed to offer any advice on how to minimize my symptoms of LBP. H e seemed to be totally absent during my visit with him.

Incompetent, doubting, and misdiagnosis
Please do not waste your time. I had tailbone pain, which he kept telling me was a bruise... even after 6 months since the injury. He sent me pelvic floor therapy. Did nothing. He sent me to get a deep pain injection, but ordered the wrong one. I'm glad my insurance required a consultation. They found, during the injection, my coccyx was shattered in pieces. I needed a ortho surgeon recommendation per the pain specialist. Strickler had to write up the referral. He sent me to the brain & spine center. After going out to Chelsea, I found out that they don't even cover tailbone pain. He caused me so much mental stress, anxiety, etc. Finally, I found a surgeon on my own and required surgery. Do not go to him. I beg you.

Dr. Strickler was very rude, demeaning, and irritable. He provided minimal eye contact and didn't show much interest regarding the reasons that I was referred to him. I did express to him my frustrations with the first appointment. Clearly, he doesn't care about his patients. I will be looking for a new doctor.

I suffer from chronic pain due to arthritis and other degenerative changes in my spine. Dr. Strickler listens well and gives realistic advice and treatment plans. He doesn't pull punches about what is and isn't possible to achieve given my conditions, so my expectations are realistically set. He tells me what his recommendations are and why, using language I can understand and often accompanied by anatomy charts or models. He and his staff are all very pleasant and responsive.

Not impressed. He made little eye contact, was low in energy, yawned, responded to a text message while I was there, and gave not a lot more than commonsense advice. On the positive side, the interview and examination were thorough.

I have had a wonderful experience with Dr Strickler - He has helped me with my chronic back issues for years and has made an enormous, positive difference. He is also a very kind and caring person - and My Mom's Doctor and has been incredibly helpful to our whole family. I have to say that the less than positive reviews here really surprise me honestly. Thank you Dr. Strickler We truly appreciate the difference you have made in our lives!

I've had trouble with my sciatic for 30+ yrs., Dr. Strickler didn't have any knowledge of sciatic problems and he acted like I was off the wall. He did sign an order for me to get pain shots in the location where my vertebra is out of place and that helped 100% for about the first 3 shots. Now, I'm back looking for help again but not with him.
