Dr. Marcil Mamita, MD

On the plus side, Dr. Mamita visits various senior care facilities. However, he has missed one scheduled appointment, he has shown up without an appointment or any warning twice, and we have waited nearly an hour past our scheduled appointment time in his office. On one occasion, he showed up without appoinment to administer a vaccination my parents were unaware of and he gave no explanation why it was needed. Most recently, he spent time on a form and therefore put my mother into his system schedule, triggering an automated appointment notice which caused consternation because we were unaware of having any appointment. Dr. Mamita does not listen well and does not understand the issues he causes for his patients.

This doctor neglected to return calls re the patients care over a period of several weeks resulting in them having to physically travel to the office to attempt to speak with him. He doesn’t not at least in our experience place the patients care as being important, he also which was unheard of in my life neglected to see or talk the patient at their scheduled appointment, and opted instead to speak with a long distance relative- how on earth could he claim to be a concerned doctor while at the same time choosing not to see the patient who was already for the appointment he’s responsible as the doctor for his patients care it’s neglect to ensure his patients medical needs are met - reported to insurance and changed her to a doctor who takes his medical responsibility seriously

Dr. Mamita saw my 91 year old grandmother twice. There is no way this man should be a Geriatric Physician, for several reasons. 1. He refuses to communicate with individuals who are hearing impaired, not deaf, but hard of hearing. 2. He has an extremely short temper. 3. He makes numerous mistakes...he confused her with another patient and examined her as if she had diabetes and arthritis of the knee, neither of which, she has! He also changed two of her medications, which seems inappropriate to do for a senior who has been on the same medications for years. You change their medications only if necessary, and one at a time. 5. He will NOT even listen to more than 3 issues! Literally, he puts his hand up and says no, no more than 3 issues. That doesn't make any sense to me for a doctor who provides care for seniors. I wouldn't recommend this doctor to my worst enemy.

I would totally recommend Dr. Mamita to family and friends. He has been our doctor for over 7 years. He is very respectful and very knowledgeable when it comes to elderly patients. The wait time is minimal and he answers all questions. He explains a condition in understandable language and he makes excellent recommendations.

Very respectful responsible clinician with Great knowledge of diseases and all treatment and educates patients as well as care givers and family members of patients condition when family is involved with the patient. Was caring for mom and dad, he was ethical and awesome I would recommend him to anyone interested .

Dr. Mamita cares for my mom and is a wonderful clinician. He listens, is patient and is very experienced. Was able to identify my mom’s problems and controlled her condition and she is happy and entire family is happy. Great doctor, great staff and I would recommend him to care for anyone anytime.

Saw Dr. Mamita for my physical, the best experience I’ve had. I got more than i expected. Completely satisfied and will refer all my family and friends.

Great doctor, very patient. Spent lots of time reviewing my history and getting to know me. Very efficient and empathetic about my health. His clinic is employed with all caring staff who call you back timely and he also picks up the phone and calls. I am able to use a link to review my medical records and have access to them at anytime. I am finally with the right doctor.

I have been waiting for over 3 weeks for Dr. Mamita to return my calls to discuss my Mom's care and medications. For her latest appointment, I could not attend so I had my cousin go with her and put me on speaker phone. When I started asking questions, he got angry, told me to call his MA to sign up for Patient Ally to view my Mom's medical records he did not have time to talk with me. I informed him that I was going to find another doctor and he left the room without treating my Mom.

Takes time to listen, very kind and attentive and thorough. The staff are very nice.

Dr Mamita is my 95 year old farther in law's geriatric doctor. My father in law was taken to emergency after fainting with heart and other problems. Dr Mamita failed to return several calls and his staff could not tell us where he was. When we finally spoke to him about the severity of the issue of him not eating and constipation he said give him an enema and hung up on us. This man will not listen, does not appear to care and has no respect or time for anyones concerns.
