Violated the Federal No Surprises Act
Dr. Ng was pleasant during my visit, however he quoted that my X-ray bill would be completely covered by my plan not once, but twice (which is the only reason I got the X-ray in the first place). When I took the concern up with the billing department after receiving a bill for over $250, the case resolution specialist stated that she had contacted Dr. Ng and he had allegedly 'told me to contact the financial counseling number' the day of. This is incredibly inaccurate!!! Dr. Ng quoting me $0.00 for this service and then charging me $250 violates the Federal No Surprise Act, which requires Physicians to provide a 'good faith estimate of medical items or services for self-paying individuals'. Dr. Ng also prescribed me medication which caused esophagitis and required another $131 primary care visit to another doctor - overall, seeing Dr. Ng has now cost me $496, and thus I would not return. I'd recommend seeing someone else!
