Poor office practice
I called and filled out all 8 pages of my admission information. THey asked for my VISA information ( front and back of card) keep on file, if I " failed to keep insurance or failed to show up for an appt." I have Medicare and the best supplement around. I explained I am a medical retiree, own my home and car and have never and would never skip out on a bill. I was refused an appt until I turned over my complete VISA information to " ...keep on file...". I told them this was unheard of and I kindly pleaded with them to at least let me keep my initial appt and speak to Dr Hirsch personally. THey refused. I waited 3.5 hours on a return call from another " manager" and she still refused to bend this rule. I said I'd leave a personal check for $100 to keep on file...but to leave my VISA information, open to anyone in the office, was ridiculous. THey still refused to see me. I am frankly shocked they would not even work something out with me...other than me leaving them my VISA info
