Dr. Maria Briggs, MD

I saw Dr. Briggs for the first time when she became the doctor on at the hospital 4 hours after my son was born, I hemorrhaged, and had preeclampsia. I remember Dr. Briggs coming into the room, not saying anything to me and only addressing the nurse as she began to feel around down there and look at my hemorrhage. She had ZERO communication with me as she felt around. The next day when my blood pressure was still high from preeclampsia, she told me I was just anxious and needed to calm down. I would never recommend her to anyone. Zero empathy, zero communication. I was not even aware I had a hemorrhage until my 2 week PP appointment.

She listened well, was thorough, and put me at ease! Very pleased to have her as my doctor.

Dr. Briggs, is an amazing gynecologist, and I’m so grateful to have found her! She is not only incredibly knowledgeable but also warm, patient, and caring. From the moment I walked into her office, I felt at ease. She takes the time to listen to my concerns, explains everything thoroughly, and never makes me feel rushed.Her professionalism and compassion truly set her apart. Whether it’s a routine check-up or addressing specific health concerns, she always provides the best care. Her staff is also friendly and efficient, making the entire experience smooth and comfortable.One of the most incredible experiences I had with Dr. Briggs was in 2020 when she delivered my second child at the peak of COVID-19. Everyone had lost hope for a normal delivery after my first C-section, but she remained so patient and reassuring throughout the process. Thanks to her expertise and care, I was able to have a safe and smooth delivery, even in such a challenging time.I highly recommend Dr. Briggs!!

I really liked the doctor's appointment. Maria Briggs is a good doctor . For me, a big plus is that Maria speaks Ukrainian. Lm

I saw her back in Sept 2023, because my gyno was not available and I distinctly remember how rude and unprofessional she was. I was there with a concern since my annual exam a few weeks prior. She obviously did not have a clue and instead of communicating that and advising me on other options, she took a sample for the labs and sent me on my way, while making me feel like I was wasting her time. I would not recommend her to anyone.

I felt that Dr. Briggs listed to my concerns and treated me with respect.

Dr. Briggs is exceptionally knowledgeable, professional, and takes the time to explain. I am very grateful to have been referred to her.

Dr. Briggs was very thorough. She provided me with info that I didn’t know I could use. She always has showed concern with any issue that I have brought to her.

Dr. Briggs rushed through the appointment, and dismissed concerns. I asked her about wearing a binder post C-section and her response was 'well it is not going to make you snap back'. That was not my goal, just needed to feel more core support while up and about and wanted to make sure it was safe to wear. She also proceeded to write in the notes from the appointment that I appeared obese. I had just has a baby two weeks prior, and was EXTREMELY swollen, so this was very hurtful to hear. Especially with those postpartum hormones raging! Definitely needs to be coached on a better approach to dealing with postpartum patients.

She is always pleasant and understanding! She takes the time and gets to know. Highly recommend her.

Maria Briggs is an outstanding OB.GYN. I’ve been seeing her for years, and would never even consider switching to another Dr. She is a quality physician, who listens and does not rush you, is extremely detailed, keeps close track if you have a problem, and does her level best to secure you only the very finest care. I really love Dr. Briggs and would highly recommend her! And her office staff is great too.

My physician was unavailable, so I saw Dr Briggs for an “emergency” visit. She is very nice, a good listener, and explained my situation clearly and competently. Thank you, Dr Briggs!

As a long-time patient, I highly recommend Dr. Briggs. Her competence and professionalism are unquestioned, but she is also caring, inciteful, asks the right questions and takes time to listen.

I had my yearly follow up with Dr. Briggs and she was so kind and she went over so much information with me and made suggestions that would help. I would definitely want to go back and see her again and have her as my provider that I see every time, I am grateful that I got a chance to meet her .

My experiences have always been positive. I have been seeing Maria for several years and I can't think of one negative thing that has occurred during my visits. She shows concerned with the whole person, not just gynecological issues.

I saw Dr Briggs ultrasound pelvic technician for polyps found from an ER visit. Then, Dr Briggs found polyps had shrunk and no procedure was needed. She has been my Dr for 10 years. Excellent.
