3 strikes and you're out!
It's very hard to understand her and by her notes, she did not understand me either. Because what she wrote was not what I said. Waiting 3 months to go over any tests is a bit ridiculous and her PA team drags their feet on getting Preauthorization requests done. I'll have missed a 3rd dose come Monday. My pharmacist sent over the request with all the info on Jan 8th and again on the 14th. Now her nurse tells me that's typical for January because everyone needs preauthorization's. That's ridiculous. I've never had a doctors office take that long to get them done. I started going to her because she's the only endo who comes to Clinton. Looks like I'll be traveling a longer distance to see one.

Getting a new Endo
I’ve been suffering from Gastroparesis and Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome for over 4 years now. Saw Maria Javaid for a 2nd time, as I’ve had complications & difficulty containing my diabetes along with caring for my other diagnosis. She was extremely offended by my inability to take proper care of my diabetes & did nothing but scold and threaten me that I can die & used my 3 year old son’s life against me. She needed to refil my insulin but only left me with 0 refills, and asked me to come back in a month. I will be out about a week before the next appt. I was 6 months past due for diabetic exams, she did not even conduct a foot exam. She shut me down for a Omnipod & told me “well see next time”.. I’m filing a complaint against her with the AR Med Board & wouldn’t recommend her. Doctors are supposed to have compassion and understanding, patience, especially for Type 1 Diabetics who are TRYING their best.

Very professional & answered all my questions related to thyroid but said we'd deal with the Type 2 diabetes at next appointment. My Dr is the closest in-network endocronologist but she is an hour & 1/2 drive. I just got notice from United Healthcare that effective July 1st she will no longer be in-network. I really like Dr Javaid & her staff.
