As others have mentioned here, I don't understand the negative comments. After I came down with pneumonia and my usual internist wasn't available, I ended up with who was available, and to my good fortune that was Dr. Juarez-Reyes. I found her to be caring, responsive and decisive. If she's running late, it's because she cares. After that first experience with her, when my usual internist retired I chose her and I've been seeing her now for 6 years. She's not taking new patients, so if you're lucky, one day you may graduate off her waiting list and into her examination room.

What a terrible experience with this Doctor. If you have any existing condition that needs treatment, you should run the other way. She only wants to treat symptoms rather than help to heal the root cause, and often resists ordering even the most basic bloodwork. Dr. Juarez-Reyes seems to be poorly informed about very common conditions. Pretty scary considering she's a teaching physician at Stanford and holds a PhD and MD. Scary indeed! Major bummer. Steer clear of this doctor.

She came late and she was in rush to leave the room. She didn't provide explanation for my symptoms and appropriate treatment. Really disappointed.

Stay away from Maria. Never, ever have I been treated like this by a doctor. Run far away from Maria! A.) Maria treat patients like they are cattle B.) Maria never fulfills your time for the appointment. If the appointment is for 40 mins, I expect an appointment for 40 mins, not 15-20 mins like she provides. I am there early, she should be on time. C.) Horrible attitude, too. Maria acts like the patient is bothering her when she should be proviing care for the patient.

I've seen Dr. Juarez-Reyes approximately 5 times over the past 8 months. Every time I have seen her I keep saying I need to find a new PCP within the Stanford Org. To make this brief, please do yourself a favor and find another doctor. Her bedside manner is poor, doesnt listen well and has been confrontational. The way she prescribes medications is borderline reckless. She overly prescribed a heavy antibiotic. I saw another Stanford doctor who confirmed my assumption. Steer clear!
