Poor customer service. Lack of respect for customers. Only provides excuses and blames other patients for her disrespect. Never on time, runs over one hour late. Would recommend a different doctor if you want to resolve an issue.

Poor office service
Dr. McFarland is great but you cannot get anyone to talk with you by phone. I have waited as long as 15 minutes from someone to get back to me after being put on hold and I end up handing up. I have called 5 times and no one ever got back to me. I am changing my DPM because of this. Poor office service. VB

Always great. I have been a patient for many years. Sometimes there is a long wait. Usually due to a surgery. Whenever I am with the doctor I feel extremely comfortable with her advise. She is always looking for the best recommendations and very sincere. Once you ask a question be prepared to get her complete knowledge of the medication, illness, or a situation you are experiencing. I am a caretaker for my brother and I just recently referred him to her. He really liked her.

My first couple of visits were ok, although there was a bit of a wait. The most recent time, though, I left after waiting in the waiting room for nearly an hour after my appointment time without seeing the doctor because the staff wouldn't tell me anything and no other patients were in or out during that time.

It was my mom, not me.....she’s absolutely crippled my mother and had absolutely no idea what she was doing. Very disheartening & disappointing. Incredibly unfortunate. My mom’s foot now looks like something from Frankenstein & is unbelievably painful literally 24/7/365. I’m a nurse who dressed my mother’s foot every single day, yet she couldn’t ever order the correct creams or meds, wouldn’t react to pictures I sent & calls I made & my mom ended up with gangrene.

Whenever I visit I feel like I'm a pain in the butt. I really hate to asked any questions. I had an appointment today my right foot have tendinitis so I told her I would like to start wearing a boot so she said I have to wear it for 3 weeks but try not to be on it much so I ask the nurse what about me working because I drive a Metro Bus with air breaks she said she can drive she seating but I'm pressing down on paddle and breaks which transit breaks are not like car breaks and I'm driving for 8 hours which hurt after hours of driving. It's like she doesn't care any care

I can't imagine a more professional, informative and comforting doctor than Maria McFarland. She should be teaching courses in bedside manners and professional comportment to other doctors. Many kudos along with the five stars.

VERY COMPETENT AND KNOWLEDGEABLE PHYSICIAN!! HAD ME ORDER THE CREAM I NEEDED TO REPAIR MY FEET FROM THE MANUFACTURER NOT THE DISTRIBUTOR?! ?? EXCELLENT REFERRAL, INSTEAD OF BEING 100s OF DOLLARS IT WAS LESS THAN 50!! I APPRECIATED THIS!! MY FEET IN A MATTER OF A FEW VISITS WERE RETURNED TO THEIR CORRECT COLOUR... I RECOMMEND HER TO FAMILY AND FRIENDS!! ??

During my visit to Dr McFarland, she was very happy thorough, compassionate, helpful and welcoming. She communicated with me, she was specific about our next plan towards better health,by giving me information, guidelines and making sure that I understood everything.

Poor. MA touched sterile instruments with her bare hands. I insisted that she pen another sterile pkg using gloves. After procedure Dr McFarland dressed both feet and gave discharge instructions. Then I laid on the table for 35 min waiting for help, No one came. So I got up & put my socks on & stood up & had to walk on a bloody chuck left on the floor from procedure to get out of room. As I hobbled down hallway, I saw the MA who was on the phone and asked her where to exit and she just pointed.

I've had consultations and 2 surgeries with Dr. McFarland, her team, and SSM DePaul outpatient surgery center. Every single incident of my interactions has been an excellent experience. Dr. McFarland communicates clearly, listens well, demonstrates excellent knowledge and judgment and is very thorough.
