Dr. Maria Monge, MD

Dr. Monge is an incredible doctor. Not only does she make informed and helpful prescriptions, but she takes the time to step through the choices she made to get there, why she made those choices, and what will come from those prescriptions. She's always listened, she's always been kind and curteous, and she's always made a special effort to truly care for a patient's needs. I felt more informed with her than with any previous doctor I've ever had. "Letting go" of Dr. Monge and all the other incredibly kind and competent staff of the Adolescent Medicine department to appease Ken Paxton's reign of tyranny was one of the biggest mistakes Dell's Children Hospital could've made.

First time with Dr Monge, we usually see a colleague and we’ve been very happy with all of them. Really appreciate the attention to our teenager and parental engagement!

Grossly Incompetent and uninformed; she should not be allowed to practice medicine. Her focus is on revenue generation and not appropriate patient care, in my opinion. Dr Monge diagnosed my child as transgender despite lacking the requisite training or expertise (she is trained in internal medicine and has no psychiatric training). She prescribed puberty blockers and testosterone, without an appropriate specialist psychiatric evaluation by a qualified medical professional

This was my fourth time seeing Dr. Monge and I couldn't be happier. She is highly skilled and knowledgeable, but what I have been most struck by from the very first meeting is how much she genuinely cares and wants to know you as a person, remembers the important things about you, goes above and beyond to provide stellar service (calling and responding promptly) and is so attentive and attuned to what you are wanting (giving you all the options she can to have you be as satisfied as possible with the outcome). In this most recent visit the lab had not gotten all the data to her and she had staff call the lab to try to get it and then first thing the next morning called me to give me the results and check how I wanted to proceed. I can't recommend her more highly. It is also clear that she is deeply appreciated by and must create a supportive atmosphere for the other members of her team as they appear deeply care about the work they are doing and are also so loving and attentive.

Dr. Monge is the best most supportive doctor. Her office always responds in a timely manner to any questions and truly wants to ensure her patients’ well being.

Dr. monge is really smart and knowledgeable in treating gender dysphoria. Ive been in her care for about a year and she truly gave me the happiness and the hormones i was after. My quality of life has gone up exponentially since being treated by Dr. Monge. My favorite thing about her care is how friendly she is and how friendly the office as a whole is. Dr. Monge is also not opposed to listening to the patients recommendations for changing hrt regimens/ medications. Truly out of all doctors/ specialists ive seen Dr. Monge is definitely the best.

Dr Monge is awesome. Her nursing staff is amazing as well. Very understanding and caring. Treated my son with respect and answered all his questions and concerns.

First impressions of Dr. Monge are that she is a very caring and concerned health care provider for young people with eating disorders. She has well established history understanding and treating adolescents and young adults who are on the spectrum of all the documented eating disorders. It was a “breath of fresh air” to meet her and have her immediately understand my child’s struggles and get insights and have her offer helpful assistance and suggestions for helping my child get on a path to better health. I am finally hopeful that this patient relationship with Dr. Monge may ultimately lead to some needed changes for my child.

Truly listens and cares. Has expertise and knowledge based on years of experience. Everything you want in a doctor for your child.

I absolutely appreciate Dr. Monge and her staff. The team is knowledgeable, personable, kind, responsive and really good with quirky teens and anxious parents (me!). She brings a relaxed manner and light sense of humor to bear on a delicate situation. As a parent, I leave appointments feeling reassured my child is receiving the best care available. My child leaves feeling validated and grateful to have Dr. Monge in his corner. Her Westlake office building reads "Seaton" rather than "Dell's." This was confusing for us on our first visit to the Westlake office, so keep that in mind. I highly recommend her services.

Dr Monge was exactly the right doctor at the right time for a very serious illness. Patient is now doing great and thriving. Dr Monge explains things in a way that both parents and patients can understand, she is kind yet firm, and she was completely trusted by both me and my child. Dr Monge's medical advice led to a very positive outcome. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr Maria Monge.
