Dr. Maria-Stella Perlas, MD

My wife and I have been patients of Dr. Perlas for over 20 years. Her diagnoses of our illnesses and/or injuries and her treatments of these have been accurate and effective. We are especially grateful for her counsel on our health and well beings. She understands our reluctance to take any medications and takes the extra time to explain them. During our office visits, we often discuss personal life issues that may affect our health. She is professional, warm and encouraging. Her office staff has always been professional, friendly and accommodating. And if on occasion, we do have to leave a message, it is returned in a timely manner. Scheduling appointments are flexible. We have so much confidence in Dr. Perlas that we have recommended her to our family and friends, most notably, my in-laws, our next-door neighbor and his wife. Dr Perlas has been our Family Doctor for 13 years. Sorry to leave her. We moved to Oahu. Thank you Dr for all the long years. We will miss you and your Staff.

I was injured in an accident Dr. Perlas did not send me to the right specialists. I unnecessarily suffered with vertigo for 20 months. At last appointment she told me I may have to live and learn how to cope with my vertigo. Unwilling to accept this diagnosis I changed to a new general practitioner who immediately sent me to a rehab appointment with vestibular specialist. 5 treatments got me well enough to not have to depend on a cane for mobility, I cannot reccomend in Dr. Perlas at all!

Excellent and thorough physician with very good bedside manner

Negative experience with the office of Dr. Maria-Stella Perlas. No one answers the phone or calls back after messages are left. A visit to the office provided an unpleasant experience. I was greeted with "you need to collect all your medical history, and after Dr. Perlas reads it, she will let you know if you are accepted to be her patient." The selective acceptance of new patients needs to be clearly stated in writing, in every directory.
