Ok doctor, incompetent office, insensitive
My first few visits with Dr. Vázquez were fine. She seemed knowledgeable, if maybe a little naive. But then I asked for a very expensive medication that was not covered by my insurance, and she refused to write me a prescription that I could send to a mail order pharmacy in order to alleviate the cost. The whole process was bafflingly incompetent, from ignoring my request and sending me a poorly written prescription that was useless to me, to sending it to the wrong pharmacy, to her insensitivity when I tried to correct her office. She was subsequently fired as my internist. For the record, I actually wanted to like her, but got tired of the incompetence of her office, the wait times, and her incapacity/unwillingness to help me with a medication that wasn’t even controlled.
