Dr. Marie-Claire Partridge, MD

My child was admitted inpatient to CHOP following a failed endoscopy which resulted in not being able to swallow. When my child was in need of a nasogastric tube (NG feeding tube placed through the nose), Dr. Partridge suggested that the team 'take the tube in and out' after each feed because it is 'unpleasant' and would encourage my child to eat. Later, she suggested that my child's inability to swallow was due to psychological issues and a desire to remain in the hospital. Dr. Partridge then suggested admission to a behavioral health floor instead of continuing to follow through GI. This prompted us to coordinate care with Nemours Hospital so we could get out of CHOP. We received quality care at Nemours where doctors stated they were 'appalled' at the way our child was treated. Dr. Partridge and the inpatient team at CHOP caused significant medical trauma to our child and family. We will NEVER seek care there again.
