Dr. Marie Lightbourne, MD

I called Dr. Lightbourne’s office 30 minutes before they closed, and she saw me right away using a televisit. I have been a patient of hers for about 15 years and have followed her from one practice to another. She is a very thorough doctor who truly listens to my issues before coming up with a plan of action, and I appreciate that! She is wonderful!!

I had a Telehealth visit with this doctor, and it was the worst experience I have had in a virtual appointment. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone! She was extremely rude, and unempathetic my entire visit, and was unwilling to help me. The way she was talking down to me, made me feel like I was getting a 'talking to' from my parents. 0/10 would NOT recommend.

I have been a patient of Dr. Lightbourne for well over 10 years. And I will continue to be her patient for the next 10+years. She is caring and very thorough. Dr. Lightbourne listens and takes all concerns seriously. She never dismisses my concerns or questions. She will get to the bottom of any medical issues or refer you to a specialist that can better assist you. She is a great all around person that truly cares about her patients and their well being.

I had a virtual telehealth visit with Dr. Lightbourne. She was incredibly rude. She shut down the visit within 30 seconds because my son was not in the room with me. I cannot believe she is a professional. She didnt even give me the chance to explain that I was about to walk into the room with him. I will never, ever work with her again. So rude. So disrespectful to me as a human being.

Dr. Lightbourne is a kind, caring and compassionate person. She has been my Dr for 12+ years and has improved my health greatly. She has a staff that is also wonderful. I would be devastated if I had to find another Dr.

I have been a patient of Dr. Lightbourne's for a few years. At one point she was leaving the practice and I was devastated. It has taken me years to find a physician that I am comfortable with, that I TRUST, and one who doesn't take one single approach to MY healthcare. Dr. Lightbourne is attentive, she asks questions (this really blew me away) and she isn't going to sugarcoat (which is probably why there are some "bad review" on here, lol). She genuinely cares about her patients being well WHOLISTICALLY, meaning mentally, physically and emotionally. I also love her staff (or at least those I've come in contact with) particularly her nurse Keysha. If I leave her a message she gets right back to me! If I have an urgent need and need to get squeezed in, she makes it happen. I hope to have her as my family's primary care physician for a long time. This community needs her.

She truly listens to her patients and provides insight, knowledge and guidance. Her staff is warm, friendly and makes you feel like a part of the family at every visit. The front desk people are kind and get you scheduled right away. The only time I have had to wait is when they fit me in because of my crazy schedule. Love Dr. Lightbourne!

At such a crazy time as this, my family is blessed to have Dr. Lightbourne as our primary care physician. I hear horror stories of others not being able to get an appointment, not even a virtual, with their doctor unless it is COVID related. The simplest things get noticed now and while COVID is truly a serious dilemma to experience, other illnesses occur as well. It was such a relief to call and get a virtual appointment, thank you Michelle (front deck asst). This is a dynamic team and Dr. Lightbourne's nurse (Teresa) is relentless in getting issues sorted. I can only imagine how busy things have gotten and their professionalism has not wavered. I have been a patient of Dr. Lightbourne's for a number of years. She listens, she is always thorough, and always explains things. She is not quick to prescribe medications and will work with you to help you make changes that will be positive for your health. I trust her completely.

one of the best -- I don't know of any doctor who calls her patients at nights to give them their results. She wants to make sure you understand your results

She is a excellent doctor. She makes sure you understand whatever symptoms you are diagnosed with. Very friendly and easy to talk to. Makes you feel better after walking out of her office. Its a pleasure having her as my primary care doctor.

Dr Lightbourne has been my doctor for 9 1/2 years She has always given me the very best care. She has always been very professional She has the best staff and her nurse is just wonderful the best Phlebotomist ever

I went to Dr. Lightbourne’s office for an appointment as a new patient today. I had my 5 year old son , who’s has Autism, and my 9 year old son, who’s adhd, with me. When Dr. Lightbourne came shortly after she told me my children were a distraction and she couldn’t service me. Of course this bothered me because she is supposed to be a family physician and she told me my apology doesn’t change anything. The office manager came and did nothing but allowed her to continue being rude and nasty.

I highly recommend Dr. Lightbourne because she and her practice cares about their patients and I have always been treated with compassion, kindness and respect.

My family and I have been under Dr. Lightbourne's care for 4 years. She is very caring with our family. Both my children have Asthma and I can always count on a quick call back or appointment when needed. The staff is also great!

Dr. Marie Lightbourne is a caring Doctor that listens to your medical concerns and follows up on her patients. The care at her office is very quick and efficient. It is the ideal family practice. She is a Doctor you can trust with your family's needs. She gets to know her patients and understands their health. I prefer a doctor who is not just completing a check list of patients and Dekalb medical and Dr. Lightbourne is the best.

I love this Doctor, the staff, and the office. Dr. Lightbourne was my doctor from 2007-2012 and now, after moving back to the area, she is the primary care physician for my entire family. She isn't quick to suggest drugs, but in fact, has offered alternative methods for healing my body. The staff is very professional and always keep my information private and secure. The office and rooms are always clean. One of the best smelling offices around :)

Dr. Lightbourne really cares about her patients. I've been seeing her since for years now and she's ALWAYS accessible and attentive to her patients healthcare needs. She makes her patients feel comfortable in even the most uncomfortable situations. I went in to get my first Pap exam with her. I was nervous but she took good care of me. Answered all of my questions and took her time making sure that I wasn't more uncomfortable than necessary. I definitely recommend her.
