Dr. Marilu Jurado Flores, MD

This was my most humiliating medical experience ever! I was left speechless by Dr. Jurado-Flores's mocking and condescending attitude. She did not read my history nor did she examine me when she decided that I did not have lymphedema. This condition was diagnosed by three medical professionals, who have followed my progress over the last nine months, and verified by my insurer She expressed skepticism that I follow a low-carb diet as her predecessor had noted in my chart. To her, I was just a fat overeater. If she had spent two minutes reading my history she would have come to a different conclusion and wouldn't have found my diagnosis amusing. I'm sure she's well-qualified, but I never want to repeat that experience ever again.

Dr. Jurado is the best specialist that I see. Superlative care.

I asked about a health concern outside of the one she was treating and she just kept repeating the same thing. She told me "at this point, get a second opinion" - my concern was simply and only severe and SUDDEN oily skin, and if I could get my levels checked to see if they were CURRENTLY okay. This was new to me, and I was concerned. But she kept refusing. She doesn't have good bedside manner, and is rude. STAY AWAY IF YOU ARE A LBGTQ+ PATIENT. DO NOT GO HERE. DO NOT GO TO HER. SHE IS NOT SAFE. THEY CONSTANTLY ASK ABOUT YOUR GENITALS. IT IS HIGHLY UNCOMFORTABLE.

I had to send Dr. Jurado some test results after my appointment and she actually read them and replied to me right away!

Dr. Juardo is great. She is very professional and kind. She listens to my concerns and discusses them with me. I feel she really listens and does not make you feel rushed yet at the same time the appointment is pretty quick and very efficient. Love having her as my doctor and feel that she really cares for her patients.

This is my third endocrinologist (due to insurance changes) and Dr Jurado was immediately the most competent, attentive doctor I've experienced in 10 years of on again-off again cancer. She actively engages with both my complex health needs and administrative needs when most doctors in the same conversation have historically only offered me passive half answers and little to no follow up. Give her a raise or three.

Very professional listens and you just know that she's concerned about you as a person/patient. This is my first time having an endocrinologist and I'm so happy that I'm her patient because she really does care, she makes sure that I have an understanding of the issues that I'm having and how they need to be treated. I'm blessed to have her as a doctor. My daughter thinks she's the greatest also, and said she's going to get me straight.??
