Dr. Stein has been treating my MS since I was diagnosed in 2016. She is knowledgeable, caring and straight forward. She always discuss my situation and any possible avenues for treatment. I feel very lucky to have her leading my MS care.

Talked down to me like I was stupid
Dr. Stein constantly talked down to me like I was stupid. She made me feel hopeless about having MS. I left every appointment feeling depressed because she insisted I would end up with progressive MS no matter what one day, and there was nothing I could do to delay it. She also took up time talking about her own personal problems during her appointments. She was constantly at least a half hour late and made me feel like she was rushing through our appointments, but at the same time wouldn’t let me get a word in. I often had to literally interrupt her just to tell her my symptoms. The weirdest thing she ever did was tell me she thought I might not have MS because “all you ever have had was an arm sensory symptom,” when indeed she had records and notes that I have had Lhermitte’s, optic neuritis, and sensory symptoms on other body parts, plus lesions in multiple parts of my CNS. Didn’t listen to a thing I said, told me my pain was “anticipatory anxiety.” Specialist? OK. Sure.

Brilliant and experienced, Dr. Stein has vast knowledge in medicine. She is thorough, listens carefully, and is steady as a rock during the unnerving visits to diagnose and treat her patients. She spent at least an hour, sometimes more, with me and both advised and answered my questions thoroughly in a quietly compassionate and dignified manner.

A brilliant, very caring doctor who treated our seriously ailing daughter and guided her to a full recovery from an autoimmune attack...I will always always remember her for what she did.
