Dr. Marissa Lafer, MD

Dr. Lafer is the most organized and thorough doctor I have ever seen. I found her while searching for a surgeon to perform a cosmetic surgery on one of my ears (otoplasty). She uses a minimally invasive technique that does not require general anesthesia. The entire procedure from the time I walked in to the time I walked out took only 90 minutes.I had multiple consultations with Dr. Lafer both before and after the surgery. She was always on time, cheerful, and interested in answering my many questions. Her attention to detail in all things and clear, comprehensive instructions made preparation and recovery easy.The cost of the procedure was only 30-40% of what other surgeons quoted. Her advanced technique (incisionless otoplasty) was less expensive, less painful, involved less cutting and had a faster recovery. My longtime hairdresser didn’t even notice any scarring or swelling on my first visit after the procedure. The cosmetic results are excellent.

I initially saw Dr. Lafer to address my heavy eyelids. After the consultation with her, I felt confident that she was my plastic surgeon. She listened to my concerns, was very thorough and had a warm bedside manner. I had a seamless experience from pre op to post op. Having my blepharoplasty with Dr. Lafer was the best decision I made. I love my results—I feel and look more rested and youthful. Since the surgery, people often don’t believe me when I tell them my age. Couldn’t recommend her more!
