She is very rude and struggles with self entitled knowledge. It seems like she doesn’t know what she is talking and struggles to converse with her patients. Makes it seems like the patient doesn’t know what’s doing on and than surprises you with lack of care for three days while trying to get help after she told you to come.

Most hurtful, insensitive doctor I have ever had who prescribed me ANTI-DEPRESSANTS that screwed up my vision - for a gastric emptying problem now being treated by another doctor. Then went around me NEXT TIME and said she wanted to run more tests to prove “it’s all in her head” and “just anxiety” without telling me directly. Rolled her eyes at me when I didn’t want a feeding tube back in. Insensitive and hurtful.

I took my 11 yo son to see Dr. McCracken and absolutely HAD to write this review. We went with her because she was first available and now I know why! She's apparently very well-qualified but our experience was terrible. She spent a total of maybe 10 minutes total with us before deciding that he needed to have a procedure that required him to get general anesthesia. She was rude, called my 11 year old fat (he's 5'2 120lbs), gave zero information. Took poor history. All around unprofessional.

My son is now almost 16, and when he was about 3 weeks old, started projectile vomiting all of his stomach contents, up to 60 times a week. Out of multiple doctors (including Stanford), she was the ONLY dr. who believed me and didn't call me a first time mom who greatly exaggerated. She was absolutely EXCELLENT in diagnosing his GERD, delayed gastric emptying and overactive gag reflex by upper GIs, endoscopy and sigmoidoscopy.

My son's weight was very low, he had frequent belly pain, gas and loose stools. He was so uncomfortable that sometimes would roll in a ball from pain. Dr. McCracken diagnosed him with the Only Child Syndrome. Fortunately, we later went to Stanford, and they diagnosed him with severe Lactose intolerance. He is finally pain free and gaining weight. Interestingly, I found out later that Dr. McCracken diagnosed one of my friend's kids - who had belly pain - with A Middle Child Syndrome.
