Dr. Mark Adickes, MD

Dr. Adickes is a fine doctor. He comes highly recommended. I am sure he would do a good job, if I needed surgery. But, I am giving this group a 1 star because of the shady billing practices of the in-house imaging center - Oakbend Imaging and Physical Therapy Center. The front desk will charge you for your insurance deductable and then not submit the claim. They take the money and run... and when you call the billing office to have them submit the claim and send the necessary refund, they suddenly do not answer the phone or return messages. If your doctor at this clinic recommends imaging, DO NOT use the in-house imaging. Request to go to a reputable place such as Methodist or Hermann or wherever. And, if you have to use them, then call your insurance first. Whatever this group tells you about the cost of your MRI, xray, etc ... they are lying.

Dr. Adickes diagnosed my torn medial meniscus, preformed the surgery and I am as good as new. Wonderful bedside manner, great staff, everything was as good as it could be all things considered. Should I require any other assistance with my aging joints, he will be the first guy I call.

Dr Adickes is the best surgeon I have ever had. He takes the time to explain the procedure he intends to perform and answers all questions. He has a great attitude and is a wonderfully skilled surgeon. He did a rotator cuff repair on my right shoulder and later a full left knee replacement. He is tops in his field - he knows his stuff! I would use Adickes again in a second (hopefully I do not need to).

Dr. Adickes repaired my rotator cuff tear caused by my clumsy use of crutches after a food surgery. I am in my mid-sixties and contracted COVID after my shoulder surgery which necessitated an additional procedure to break lose the scare tissue that had formed after my bout with COVID. Dr. Adickes was a God send. I had a number of other issues during this period but he and his staff were always easily accessed and ready to help. Dr. Mark is nothing short of exceptional!! He has also successfully treated my wife for bone spurs on her shoulder. I have recommended and continue to recommend him (and his staff - Go Jared) to family, and friends. If you want the best go to Jock to Doc (I couldn't resist) Mark Adickes. Simply, the best!!!

Dr Adickes repaired my SLAP tear and performed a Bicep Tenodesis. I also had knee arthroscopic surgery same day. Very personable and patient in explaining diagnosis and procedures for surgery. My PT has said my recovery has been excellent and ahead of schedule. His assistant Jared is very professional as well.
