Dr Bowers is one of the most knowledgeable doctors I have seen in the past several years. His credentials are very impressive and he did an excellent job of answering my questions and concerns about my diagnosis and symptoms. I finally have a complete understanding of my diagnosis and prognosis which I was unable to get from my referring cardiologist. Dr Bowers is a real asset to Mercy Healthcare.

Procedure did the trick
With so many of us baby boomers having cardiac issues, it was a long wait for a cardiac electrophysiologist appointment. The day before my appointment with another EP, it was cancelled. I was finally able to see Dr. Bowers. His staff was helpful, and the doctor was patient and reassuring, answering all of my questions thoroughly. He gave me a choice of ablation methods, and when I asked which he would choose for himself or his mom, he was forthcoming. I chose that method and have had no A-fib recurrence in two years. Having the procedure was frightening after two failed cardioversions from my regular cardiologist, but it was a piece of cake, as everyone assured me it would be. Thank you, Dr. Bowers and staff.

Dr Bowers was amazing, he was willing to come to the hospital at the last minute to keep me alive. He was professional, he listened to my requests and, even though my faith kept me calm, his sense of humor made me relax. I am so grateful for his care!

Dr. Bowers has been wonderful. He listens to my concerns and is very thorough with his explanations. When asked clarifying questions, he takes his time to explain them to me. I have had many appointments and a procedure with Dr. Bowers and am pleased with the results.

Dr. Bowers may be a great doctor, but his follow up is non existent. I have tried for over two months to get results of a test that was done and still no results. It does not matter how you contact the doctor, through phone or on-line portal messages, still no response.

This staff needs lessons in communication! The office staff is pleasant but I think all calls stop there. No follow up by medical staff (office nurses, NP, or Dr Bowers). Having surgery and then not being listened to afterwards is not only frustrating, it can be dangerous. They need a better communication system.

Excellent! He was very thorough, professional, and explained all possibilities in detail before and after the procedure, even staying after hours on a holiday to complete the procedure. We were very satisfied with his care and the hospital staff.

Dr Bowers is incredibly cocky, unwilling to listen and very condescending. I prepared for a procedure advised the nurses multiple times I have a horrible gag reflex and the same procedure had to be done in a surgery center. He didn't even dignify my concern with a response. I told him again the day of the procedure. He was so rude to me and the nurses I found it alarming. I woke up and the nurse told me Dr Bowers couldn't do the procedure and had left. Had he simply listened he could have saved himself and I a wasted day of anesthesia and fasting. Avoid this guy. His attitude is awful. Mercy needs new EP docs.

My mother was scheduled for a pacemaker placement yesterday afternoon. 3 hours later procedure cancelled with no explanation. The cancellation was not done in consultation with her cardiac surgeon or his staff. Cancellation was done after hours when day staff had gone home and with no discussion or explanation with the family. The temporary pacemaker is finicky at best which is why a permanent one is being put in. We understand being bumped for an emergency case which is easily explained. Nothing communicated to us or the night staff and as of this morning ZERO communication for planned resolution from him or his staff. Very poor communication skills, should really rethink his commitment to patient care and continuing in the medical profession. Highly unprofessional conduct.

Excellent doctor. Explained the problem, the treatment, possible complications, and then answered all of my questions (and I had a LOT). Followups were likewise super. The first ablation did not completely do the trick, so he recommended a second procedure, working with my insurance to get it approved. Again great work. Andtopped it off with a LINQ monitor to insure all was working well. Not a peep from the monitor in two years since the second job, verified via six month check-ups. I wish everyone could get this quality of care. If you have the access, you will be in outstanding hands with Dr. Bowers.

Dr. Bowers has treated me for cardiac arrhythmia and has monitored my progress for several years. I trust him and believe that he is most qualified to correct this condition. He has told me that there isn't a cure but that symptoms can be controlled, and I appreciate his candor. I recommend him highly and am thankful that I had the good fortune to be referred to him myself.

I consistently refer anyone that I meet and/or know who is in need of an electrophysiologist. Dr. Bowers and the clinic have taken care of my heart and my health since 2016. He treated me for atrial fibrillation. I have been in normal rhythm since then. My wait time in the clinic is short. He answer all my questions and oversee my hearts continued healthy function.

I don't know yet; but my first encounter with his staff was fruitful and encouraging. I was medically retired from law enforcement due to a broken back and heart attack. I learned that Dr. Bowers will take me as a WC patient and based on what I've learned about him, I am looking forward to have him care for my medical needs. Ken Y Carson City NV - Nov. 16, 2018

I went to Dr. Bowers because I know several people in my town who had seen him and they all raved about him and heard he was the best in the area for atrial fibrillation. I was quite young to have atrial fibrillation and struggled to keep working because of it. Dr. Bowers helped me keep my job while I struggled through it. We held off on an ablation for a long time due to my age but eventually had a procedure that cured my problem. I can't thank him enough for his expertise.

He was entirely uninterested and bored throughout the appt. He prescribed a class c drug and ignored me completely when I said that I am trying to conceive. Dismissed my question about having raynauds and taking the med, He reluctantly agreed to schedule an echo but insisted I would find nothing wrong. However I found out by calling that appointment does not exist and is actually a consult with his assistant, and I am still waiting on a call back. The most inconsiderate doctor I have ever met
