Dr. Brinker is absolutely amazing! He was able to get me back on my shattered leg when others couldn’t! I would recommend him for anyone with a non-union break or difficult broken bone. He also was able to lengthen my femur that had to be cut off an 1.5 inches due to non healing. I now have two legs the same length!!

Dr. Brinker and his team are the best at what they do! Years ago I had a disastrous injury to both legs after a nearly 40 foot fall off a building at work that turned infectious. Dr. Brinker is truly one of a kind. I suffered a significant injury to my tibia and he is the only surgeon that gave me an option for full recovery with minimal long term effects. While the healing process was long and difficult, knowing I had a world class surgeon in my corner was invaluable. After having fractured my humerus 6 years, I was feeling hopeless that it would never heal. I was referred to Dr. Brinker because I was told if it can be fixed, he’s your guy! I’m not gonna lie, I did a lot of research on him before I ever made my first appointment. After all I would have to drive 5 hours one way! After meeting with him I was impressed with him overall. I didn’t elect to have my surgery right away, but when I did, I made the right choice. He explained everything and was very sure that he would make my arm whole again. Now fast forward to 6 months post-op and he tells me it’s completely healed. I was relieved to hear those words. I got to ring the bell and was discharged from his care. I highly recommend him if you have any issue with a bone that won’t heal. He and his staff are the best!!

Dr. Brinker discussed with us our options for my son’s surgery. And when it comes to issues outside his area of practice he referred us to his colleagues without taking another appointment. Extremely accommodating and professional.

My journey has been long, but it would have been longer if it had not been for Dr. Brinker and Texas Orthopedic Hospital (TOH). In 2021, I broke my leg in Central America. I got surgery there so I could fly back home. Upon returning, I was recommended to go anywhere for care. We had a feeling that not just any hospital could treat this inquiry, and we researched hospitals and found TOH. The TOH emergency team recommended Dr. Brinker. We read that he treats “hopeless cases” and performed thousands of Ilizarov surgeries. We knew we were in good hands. I broke my tibia and fibula, and it was described that I “put my leg in a blender.” It took 7 procedures/surgeries and physical therapy. An Ilizarov apparatus was placed on my leg with a titanium plate and screws. Month after month went by, but we saw progress. He was there with me every step of the way for 15 months. We are thankful we placed our trust in him and would recommend him to anyone.
