Dr Cornelius in my opinion is the best MD in Spruce Pine, NC! My father was rushed to the ER for the first time in his life and Dr Cornelius did everything in his power to save him. I have the utmost respect for this man because instead of keeping my Dad there at Blue Ridge and prolonging his suffering as some would do, Dr Cornelius came to me and told me that he needed to get my dad flown out of there to somewhere that they would have the equipment to better deal with his specific situation. He admitted that daddy wasn't really stable enough to fly but also admitted that blue ridge didn't have the equipment that he would need to be able to try to save him. He did all he could then flew my dad out. Unfortunately, we lost daddy the next morning, however I believe that Dr Cornelius when faced with that decision, chose the best route possible to ensure that Daddy would at least have a chance at survival. And for that I'll be forever grateful to him and thankful for him.
