Dr. Mark Devore, MD

My first visit with him, he made an inappropriate comment about another female Dr I had seen. I kinda dismissed it that maybe I misunderstood him. After my test procedures he called to report results. Banter was friendly initially, but then turned to inappropriate inuendo about my wife. I was shocked and asked my primary care for another reference and never saw this guy again. I do not recommend him.

Dr. DeVore is great! Throughout the diagnosis and treatment process, he listens actively, is very informative, and finds the best treatment when necessary.Professional front office staff and minimal wait times.Important to me, Dr. DeVore doesn’t use junior staffers or nurses to conduct the exam/visit, who then consult with the doctor on their own before the doctor pops in the room for like 60 seconds. Dr. DeVore personally takes the time with each patient.Highly recommended!

All he’s interested in doing is endoscopy tests. Pretty useless otherwise. Tries to sugarcoat it when you’re in complete agony so you keep coming back for tests. The sicker you are the more valuable you are

Dr. Devore has been my gastroenterologist for the last 10 years. Besides the fact that he knows what he’s doing he has a great personality and sense of humor. I had a serious case of ulcerative colitis and Dr DeVore worked with me until we found the right drug combination that worked for me. I can eat anything out there now peanuts, popcorn etc.

I first saw Dr. Devore about 5 years ago for my first colonoscopy. I was nervous because I'd never had one before, but my fear was alleviated from talking to him. He seemed so nice and kind and willing to answer my questions. The procedure was also easier than anticipated because his staff was also pleasant. They actually cared and answered my questions and helped me through it with no issues. By the time the Propofol was being administered, I was comfortable and not worried at all. I had another visit with Dr. Devore and an endoscopy performed last week. I'm happy to report that, even five years later, everything above still applies. Dr. Devore was still very easy to talk to and I never once felt like I was inconveniencing him with my questions. He was pleasant as was his staff, and the procedure went without a hitch. I am very happy with both times I saw Dr. Devore and I hope that, as I grow older, he'll still be my doctor if I ever need to continue with this type of procedure.

I will only go to Dr. Devore. Excellent Doctor! Very down to earth, great personality. Explains everything so you can understand.

Amazing Dr.Devore has been my Doctor for 20 plus years, Super kind. He makes you feel very comfortable, and he knows how to crack some jokes my favorite doctor

Dr. Devore is kind, thorough and always reaches out to us immediately if we call with a concern. He goes out of his way to work the appointments in to fit our schedule since my son is disabled and transporting him there is difficult. We have seen him for 20 years and would not consider anyone else.

I cant get through there front desk every time I call i am put on hold. they hang on you, they tell you to hold instead of asking then it goes to answering machine, Dr Devore is good there front office is terrible, just terrible.

My experience with Dr. DeVore has been wonderful. I changed gastroenterologists because I thought I needed a second opinion. He has a great sense of humor and calls you the next day with the results. I just liked him from the beginning. Maybe it's because we both raised three boys. He very smart and has quick responses to your questions. I think the greatest gift Dr. Devore has is that he may tell you that there are issues you have to work on but they are manageable and you'll get through it. I usually don't write these.

My decision to select Dr. DeVore was based on glowing reviews I read on this very website. I came to Dr. DeVore presenting with a severe onset of symptoms that were forcing me to avoid social activities and interfering with work. His office staff promptly brought me in and were very friendly. I immediately felt at ease with Dr. DeVore - he is very knowledgeable, friendly and TOOK ME SERIOUSLY. I was immediately at ease in his care. I now have a diagnosis and a plan to treat. Thank you!

Everyone was nice from the receptionist at the front desk to the young man who walked me out to my car at discharge. Dr DeVore and his medical staff were personable and at times humorous. Would highly recommend him to anyone who needs his medical intervention and expertise. I even received a follow up call to see if all went well with my procedure.

jThis is the first time I have ever had a colonoscopy with a relaxing good laugh before the procedure . Dr. De Vore has such a good sense of humor. I can't think of a single negative thing about the visit, about him or his staff. The pre opt. visit to his office was very ample in time spent with me .listing , answering my questions explaining things etc.. good job Dr.

Just picked him from an internet search for GI doctors in Providence Park Place. Called and made an appointment. Glad it was not an emergency since appt was a month out. Got a call the day before telling me to show up an hour early. (paperwork). I sat in the waiting room over 45 minutes before I was called to the window to get my paperwork to fill out. Once in the room it took Dr. Devore about 2 minutes before he knocked on the door. Very pleasant and humorous. He put me at ease.
