I called Dr. Fernandez's office to see if the doctor could possibly prescribe a Z-Pac for me. I had a terrible sinus infection/chest cold. I know when I have a sinus infection. I was told by a nurse , then the receptionist Julie, that the dr. would not prescribe an antibiotic without coming into the office. I told her/them that I had received both vaccines. She/they said that I would not be able to come into the office if I was sick, that I might have Covid-19 and that Dr. Fernandez could not prescribe an antibiotic over the phone. She told me my only option was to go to a walk-in clinic. I was treated in a very condescending manner, by Julie, when I asked her where the walk-in clinics were. I called the doctor, not feeling well, and was treated like I was an imposition on both of the people that I spoke to. I will not refer Dr. Fernandez to any of my friends due to the rude and uncaring "gatekeepers" at his office. Unacceptable.

Dr Mark is never rushed and takes the time to really listen. He does not have a problem admitting when he needs to do some more research on a subject and get back to you. (Which he does). But he is not a "hand Holder", he tells it like it is and is one of the many things I respect about him. I have always felt he has put my health concerns as a priority. He has been my doctor for over 20 years, and I trust him with my life.
