I was a patient of Dr. Finklesteins for over 6 years. When I needed him the most he was not there for me but it is much worse than that. I have a Jpouch (colon removed) which is very common these days and he even did scopes on my pouch so he was well aware of my situation when he took me as a patient. Well after a week in the hospital with a small bowel obstruction and then almost another 2 weeks at home before I heard from him. Calling his office telling them I need help I was old to go to the emergency room (where I was for a week already then REFFERED to him!) or call my PCP. When he finally called me he said literally he does not know what he is doing and I need to go to a Boston doctor. Who the hell says stuff like that? I am now waiting on hold for 25 minutes so far to have my records sent to my "Boston" doctor. I ended up going to my PCP to get antibiotics to treat me. Unacceptable, never again.

should check the chart before you come into the exam room to see if you have seen the patient before. On 3rd visit with him, he again introduces himself to me. Was ok with me discontinuing Humira, but failed to tell me that if I discontinued this medication that it may not work again if I had to return to it sometime in the future. He should have known this and informed me prior to saying "I'm on board with you discontinuing the Humira". Won't be seeing him again anytime soon

He is caring, warm,and knowledgable. My family and I have been going to him for years and rarely if ever have a problem. My only complaint is that it may take up to a month to get an appointment to see him but he always returns calls within a day or two.
